Firefighters battled through to contain massive wildfires near Los Angeles as strong winds drove the flames toward new neighborhoods. At least 16 people were now confirmed dead from fires that have ripped through the city, leaving communities in ruins and testing the mettle of thousands of firefighters – and millions of California residents.

  8. Whatever the explanations around why this occured is less relevant than the contrasts seen

    God has allowed this happen,he could have stopped it…but in his love he is exposing both beauty and loss.

    We can blame him or choose him freely.
    This window into heaven and hell is a glimpse of having and then losing all that we call "good" in the blink of an eye.
    This temporary world is all going to be destroyed one day and be remade
    In this context,he is speaking loud and clear…Choose life..the highest experience of it is in partnership with him now,without him there is seperation and loss.
    Temporary wealth doesnt last…eternal long term investments with short term sacrifice builds a foundation that will.
    The sacrifice and support that people will show each other in the aftermath will be a light in the dark.

  12. It's not a natural disaster, its a man made disaster. Poor plannning and stupid people cause this. Houses shouldnt be built in this area. The rest of the year we have to listen to these people brag about the warm weather and lack of rain messing up their plans, then they all cry and moan and act like victims when the fires, droughts and mudslides destroy everything, GOD is coming for you.

For those seeing the Golden Globe event and commenting, please understand the event was attended by people world wide, so all the places where they stay should be affected or the person who made the statement should be affected and not the whole place where the event was held, so lets pray for innocent lives and the strength to affected than crying foul on unnecessary statements
