  1. Starting with this season, you'll see me messing around with thumbnails and titles a bit – have no fear the show itself is not changing and the format you all know and love is the same. Just playing the youtube game a bit.

  2. I'm sure you hear it all the time, but Dramatime provides a much needed break from the WTF'S of life. Its a chance to turn off the brain, just recharge, and always have a good belly laugh.

To you, Bex, and the team, please know that what you do is far more than you realize.

  3. If your players that grind m+ more feel "punished" by the loot going to the people that get the biggest upgrade, then your team isn't sweaty enough to use a loot council. If you aren't so sweaty that every player cares only about killing the bosses and wants to give their team the best chance of success no matter their own personal situation, then just fucking roll on the loot. I promise you that distributing loot optimally to get a 0.8% dps increase in your raid doesn't matter as much as you think it does.

  4. To the loot dilemma: I don't care if all the loot goes to the players on my team that don't play as much EXCEPT for ludicrously BiS trinkets. If I can't get my big on use trinket from M+ and the raid trinket is just head and shoulders above everything in the M+ season then someone yoinking that trinket actively hurts my M+ pushing alongside the fact that me and my +15 ilvls made it significantly easier for them to get their AotC. It's like giving PI to your lowest rank dps to flatten the output charts, rather than giving it to your top dps to beat certain phase breakpoints

  5. On loot drama, our guild had an issue with the "aotc only" players, that would show for prog, get gear, do one or two farms then go away until next season. This would annoy people who played way more of the season as they would often get very rares and sought after trinkets and then just… disappear. Then we had people who were basically there to get carried and again would expect to get the good loot, despite pulling sub tank DPS.

So in the end we came up with two rules, raiders first, then people could roll on gear if no raider wanted it, and each raider got two reserve spots, only people who had reserved those items could roll on them. So ring from Queen, three people who had chosen it could roll, and after all of them got it, it was open roll. Worked really well for us.

We lost two/three people, but everyone was happier to see them gone.

  6. "Dies in P1 gets loot" oh that reminds me of a story I must write one day about a healer in our Mythic Antorus guild that went afk just before dog boss, we had it on farm so no-one cared, only he still got credit for the kill and got the mount, came back to find it in his bags and the mad mount collector in our guild was still frothin mad about it expansions later. The entire thing nearly killed that guild, all over a stupid mount.

  7. My guild uses RCLoot Council, & it works. We do get the occasional bitching abt how someone got a ring(or something equal, its happened twice was annoying, but it was resolved eventually) that wasn't even good for them but the ilvl woulda helped them, but was upset it went to someone who's stats it was BiS for – but its me(the GM), & my two officers & Raid Lead who are the RCLoot Council managers. Will say in S2, we are graduating it a bit to only be used for rings & trinkets, & nothing else b/c it's such a headache to deal with. We, Leadership, always choose others ahead of us, too, & we're generally the last ppl to get anything b/c we want to make sure everyone else has received loot they need/deserve.
    This is how we decide:

    Mechnics Followed
DPS/HPS/Tanking on par w/very little if any mistakes/deaths
    Attendance 95% or better
    Good Attitude

  8. It’s hilarious how much Mike has changed, I remember a few years back he was shitting on players that didn’t do M+ by saying if you want to mythic raid then you should want to do M+ to stay as geared as possible and now he’s, nah I anit doing that shit lol, ya ik he doesn’t mythic raid anymore but think he’d still share that perspective that if you’re raiding you should stay geared as possible to respect your team
