I voted for Obama twice and I have always voted democrat but because of how Obama handled the housing crisis by only bailing out the banks and doing absolutely nothing for the homeowners it caused a lot of pain and suffering. I was forced to live in a very abusive marriage with my kids for 12 years because my home went from 400k to 250k overnight. Our down payment gone, everything gone. If we sold the house we would have stilled owed the bank more money than what the house sold for. We were trapped. He should have made the banks let us refinance our homes at the what they were worth after the crisis. Obama essentially gave the banks billions of dollars and screwed us over. My ex husband’s brother is a banker and let me tell you how Obamas plan helped him. They live in a 3 million dollar home that he was able to pay off because of his bonuses that he received as a result of the money Obama gave them. That turned my ex husbands entire family in one fail swoop over to life long republicans. Trump supporters, the whole thing. They saw that, and his brother was very open and honest about what was happening at the banks, what they were getting. The level of corruption and the sheer audacity of our president/government to do this to us was so unbelievable and infuriating that they never recovered. They will never trust another democrat again, as short sided and insane as that is, that is the truth. Biden has been the hardest working democratic president to ever set foot in that Oval Office and he’s so secretive about everything that no one knows all the good things he’s done for them.
