You can walk through bushes now!
A couple of observations:
The NPC's actually look like medieval peasants, etc.
One thing I really hope for is that gamers' interest in history and historically-accurate games will increase.
This could potentially be the best game ever made so far.
I love KCD1 so much despite its imperfections and I'm keenly excited for this new game. I want all the success in the world to go to Dan Vavra and Warhorse as a whole for the sheer pleasure and escapism they've provided me over several years now.
KCD is a work of passion, of love and care for player freedom and agency. It was only a matter of time – and being given the chance with extra resources – that Warhorse would show us what they REALLY had in mind all this time: A polished and gorgeous digital world replete with respect for the player, their choices and an ever- expanding matrix of flow-on effects as a result of those player choices.
Never has just roaming a game world felt as grounded and as beautiful to me as in KCD – and that's before I've touched the sequel. So many times in KCD1 I'll be somewhere in the wilds of Bohemia in a forested region when I'll look at the handicrafted natural beauty and think "This not only looks great, it looks real, like something I've seen before."
KCD is a treasure.
not shure if this is my kind of game but fair is fair it does look good.
this game looks fuckin awesome dude. it's totally under the radar too. there's no buzz about this game at all somehow? it's like british skyrim
Spoiler alert if you haven't finished playing KDC 1!
Henry is no peasant! He is the bastard son of Sir Radzig who legitimizes him towards the end of the first game.
I remember playing the first few hours of the first one and loving the story but being put off by the jankiness and it seemed like all the mechanics were a little too much to keep up with, hunger mechanics etc. So I am interested to try this one but worried I’ll feel the same.
can't wait
Anyone who thinks the combat in this game is realistic has never actually picked up a real sword or done Hema, swinging a sword shouldnt feel like you are underwater, which is exactly how this game feels, it feels like i am under water trying to swing a warhammer. Ew is the only response i have to that
Looks same as the first one
My favorite quest of all time in any game was getting drunk with the priest, it was an absolute blast. I'm so hyped for this game.
Game needs more gore
first game i’ve been genuinely hyped to get in years, always hoped they’d make a kcd2
Tbh I was genuinely a bit surprised by its announcement. I’d grown accustomed to sequels taking 10+ years to develop.
It would be so nice if they re-released the first game with all these quality of life improvements. I'd buy it again. I played the game through a couple of times and it always felt like I was fighting the game.
Looks like their version of A Life works.
This looks really good, but what stuck out to me as still janky is the dog's movement, also conflicting with npc pathfinding etc 😀 is the dog optional?
I've been expecting this game for a long time. Can't wait to play it ❤
KCD1 had Save & Exit via a post-launch patch.
I come from Slovakia, I'll tell you honestly that I can't even pass a unit, the combat is difficult
The 1st game was phenomenal.
But can you pet Musa of Mali in the game?
Can you turn off the hud completely? Thanks
This game will destroy Valentine's Day this year
Please excuse my scepticism, I’m sure the game will be great but I remember how reviewers told us how great Cyberpunk was on PC, then we got the console version and we all know how that ended.
Hold on.. you never see any developer improve systems from the previous game if they make a sequel 😑🤦♂️
7 years is insane
Hopefully AI speeds up the cooking process cuz phuuuk waiting that long for any game
Imagine Witcher 4 being like this, as in first person. 3rd person is trash lol
My first play through of KCD was 30min.
My second third and fourth were all 90+. It is easily the most immersive medieval rpg so far
As long as armor functions and works like real armor, in that, it makes you nearly invulnerable while wearing full plate, mail and padded armor.
And as long as there will be ACTUAL BLOOD ON THE ENVIRONMENT DURING COMBAT, then I, and a lot of other people will be VERY happy.
