We owned Greenland once and gave it back … bad idea
So we Americans aren’t trying to buy it from Denmark we want to offer the Greenlanders more than the 1/2 billion Denmark gives them per year if they leave Denmark to join us. If that fails then yes economic and military force.
There’s only one real target. The others are diversion.
So is USA gonna take over the aid given from Denmark?

Both the Greenlandic and Danish PM have made it crystal clear that selling Greenland is absurd and will never happen and all parties in the Greenlandic Parliament agree with this. The discussion is not about Greenland cutting their ties to Denmark, but getting more independence, in the sense that they want to go from being more of a territory ruled by Denmark, to a real independent country within the realm of a "United Kingdom of Denmark" so to speak.
It's also important to know, that with this small a population, Greenland would never be more than a territory under a US ownership, so this goes against everything the Greenlandic people want.
By meeting with Trump, both the Danish and Greenlandic PM just want to make sure that Trump understand and respect this, and they will grant the USA the rights to patrol the waters as much as they want, and build a base more if they want, which is actually old news, because this possibility has already been agreed upon by the USA, Denmark and Greenland.
Why can Greenland not be purchased? Give a cool million to each local and see if they vote to sell. You don’t quite understand Trump. Maybe you should read the art of the deal? My prediction is the USA purchases Greenland with big plans for the locals and big money rolling in from expansion. We’re going to pump the shit out of that oil that’s for sure!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

If Greenland has a lot of oil, gas, and natural minerals, why does it still need money from the Danish Government? Isn't it true that Denmark has taken advantage of Greenland's natural riches while not allowing the Greenlanders to use them for their own benefit?

The Danes and others have researched every mountain in Greenland over the last 100 years, and only very little has proved feasible for mining. And now the former Casino owner Mr. Trump wants to make a new business bonanza up there: Mining with a loss. Ukraine is a much better place to mine rare earths!

Denmark has the largest mertian marine in the world and the US has none. Think about Denmark pulling all of our giant container ships.

Greenland is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, meaning it has its own government and parliament. For years, Greenlanders have sought full independence, but this has been denied so far. Greenland has about 55,000 inhabitants, and a significant portion, if not the majority, reportedly prefer to join the USA. They are thinking about their future, and since the USA has much more to offer than small Denmark, Trump sees an opportunity to use the situation for his interests. It seems to me that both Greenlanders and Trump want to "strike the iron while the iron is hot." I don't understand why the participants in this discussion are getting so worked up; the Greenland situation has little to do with Europe. Denmark will have to come to an agreement with the Greenland government. Nevertheless, it will be much ado about nothing. So, no need to get excited. Let's wait and see.
There's no "fight against Denmark", The people of Greenland are free to do whatever they want, however they are still dependant on financial aid from Denmark, which is why they have not declared independance yet.
Greenlanders can either sit and cry about their situation in their canoot, or they can sit and cry about their situation eating hamburgers in their canoot. Is that a good thing?
