  1. With the combat you can still see clearly that it's built on the same foundations for Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla combat, which was in my opinion the worst part of those games. They've improved it but it still contains some of the flaws (floaty, clunky and unsatisfying combat) of the past games.

  2. It looks pretty good in my opinion. Also, you say the katana combat looks bad, but that's LITERALLY how katana duels were done. It's also done the exact same way in both Sekiro and GOT, but those get a pass? Be consistent.

  3. They gave us the best location for the series. Yet the worst character choices…how did they manage fkn this up? They need to get player feed back before development at this point.

  4. So they worked on the parkour, copied dark souls when it comes to the combat systems, and I guarantee you they still have the same uninspired open world fetch quest power level grind core gameplay experience that has made assassins creed unplayable since Odyssey. It’s chalked

  5. I have a friend who has been dumping his lifesavings into ubisoft stalk every time theres a controversy, and then selling when they recover.

I have no idea how much money he's actually made doing that, but he talks as if it works every time.

I hope I get to talk to him in a couple months to see if he continued doing that, and how it went. lmao

  6. If you make a 3rd person action adventure video game in 2024 and you don't use that powerful graphics engine to render the most gorgeous sexy dream characters possible, your game doesn't even exist to me.

  7. For me character creation details sell a game first and foremost. Which is why i havent bought any since like 2019 aside from a single release that was already 70% off. Modern games have very limited customisation or none at all. Body type has been degraded to mean gender as well, instead of being actual body types to customise. I also despise how games nowadays put everything on realism. I want to see semi-realism, stylized characters, believable, but unreal landscapes, i want to see human creativity on aesthetics and not copy&paste of the real world.

  8. 6:35 asmon absolutely has a point here, and in most cases including here, he is correct. They focus on baseless things that dont really matter with gameplay, except die hard AC fans, or people who have at least played through 1-2 of them will definitely agree that some of those movements are great QoL improvements and visual improvements. I have played almost every AC game to date, and have loved most of them, but they are very tedious, long games, especially when trying to 100% or grab every sword etc. Being able to just pop right up a building is a sweet thing, but I'd hope you can still climb up too 🤣

  9. 38:49 proof ai, Grok, is a dummy. "this is supported by various online discussions and sentiments where the excitement for the game´s setting in feudal japan, especially after years of fan requests, is evident. "

  10. I dunno, but i feel like everything shown are the same combat elements we've seen for years. Just a hair more crouching. Like you said it looks decent, but I don't really see a ton of "new" features. 1 element where they could have done a lot of cool stuff that fans would love is the combat. But… again, that looks more-or-less the same.

  11. As a diehard AC fans, I will skip this one as I did with Valhalla.
I have 0 trust with Ubisoft. Even if the game would release bug-free (it won't, it's Ubisoft), I have 0 faith the story and writing is even remotely servicable. Valhalla was bloated beyond belief, it had maybe 2 hours of decent story to play through. Maybe 3 characters that I remember. I am certain the writing in this game is toothless and self-censored. It's a PG-13 Marvel romp, with anime melodrama. It might be worth playing for 20 bucks on sale. It's SUPER telling how they barely have a functioning game despite all this time with them being unable to show a 12 minute uncut gameplay of some random side-mission. They probably don't have a working dialogue system that doesn't look like ass, they probably don't have working AI, they probably don't have actual mission structures or designs, they probably have floating assets and messed up height maps everywhere due to AI world-gen. Why should I be hyped that "our game has moves"?
