What playing Steam games in alphabetical order does to a man

Welcome to Steam Sequence, a series where I attempt to play and review as many Steam games in alphabetical order as possible to sort the Trash from the Treasure.
This means that I’m playing through all the terrible games so that you don’t have to.
Please enjoy my suffering.

Today we’re looking at the top 5 and bottom 5 games that appeared on my channel in 2024. Games from the “100 hidden X” video will not appear on this list, as they’d all win by default. For the bottom 5, these we are ranked based on how painful they were to complete, not just the features they have.

In case you’re wondering, Steam organizes games starting with punctuation first, then numbers, and then the actual alphabet. It may be some time before I reach the letter “A” on my journey!

  1. This video just reminded me that 1-2 Switch existed and it is funny how that game was completely forgotten about not even a year after it launched (it would have probably been okay if it was a free bundle title like Wii Sports was (and maybe even more fondly remembered because of that), but the fact it was sold for full price separately and didn’t have that much content really hurts the game’s longevity).

1-2 Switch is even more obsolete now that we have THREE Mario Party games on the Switch (6 if you include the rereleased N64 ones on the Nintendo Switch Online service).

  2. What a year it's been! So happy to see LunarLux get an honourable mention here, it was absolutely deserved!

Wonder if next year you'll do a video of the top and bottom 5 from the main series and another video for the games from the wheel?

Super excited for 100% Orange Juice I adore that game and I swear to God if i miss the chance to play it with you for any reason I'm gonna be really really upset ahaha

  3. because the sequel to 10,000,000 is called "You must build a boat" im sad that it might take years until you can finally show it off on the channel, it takes everything good about the first game, makes it better, and then adds more of the stuff you said the first game was missing. For those reading comments, play 10,000,000 first so you truly appreciate just how much "You must build a boat" improves upon it

  4. Just realized I never subscribed; fixing that now. I seriously love your style of reviews, and it's great hearing about so many games I'd never have thought about buying myself.

  5. 2:17 you only pointed out the energy outburst damage, but the one above and below it technically increase difficulty too … though I suppose you didn't point them out since it was just fixing broken intended mechanics.

  6. I admire your determination in attempting to try & play all Steam games alphabetically. But honestly, will you live long enough to even reach the end of the letter "A"?
