YouTube spent millions upon millions of dollars to snipe some of Twitch's largest streamers. Those contracts have run out, and the streamers are returning to Twitch. This screams how bad YouTube is as a streaming platform. They spent all that money to try to make themself look like they could compete with Twitch, but, in the end, they dropped the ball. It did nothing to Twitch. It did of value to YouTube. If anything, it only made it more obvious how bad YouTube is as a streaming platform. The fact that YouTube is constantly screwing up streamer channels just further proves they don't know how to handle streamer content.

Just gonna point out the pattern. "ASMR" gets you demonetized on youtube, and demonetized on twitch (basically zero ad revenue.) Doesn't matter what it is. Sexual, brushing teeth, falling down stairs. Simply mentioning ASMR nukes the video. On the other hand you can bend the rules pretty damn hard if you play indie games until an actual piece of anatomy appears on the screen, and then you're just plain SOL.

The way Twitch handles banned account is super stupid. Banned accounts shouldn't be totally removed from the system. You should be able to still see banned account be under a "This channel is currently banned until DATE." mention or something. Your account should remain in accessible database even if banned. It doesnt take exceptional brainpower to understand their system is broken.

2025 is going great
Twitch is really out here trying to speed run its demise. Vtubers are like half the reason people go to twitch these days… 25% for the free prime games and then the last 25% for the normal streamers. The only non vtubers i watch live are operator drewski and a friend who streams so not even 25% for me.
Edit – Wow people are moving from youtube to twitch (or the other way around) just to receive the same bad treatment. Lets all just go to picarto or whatever tf that artist streaming platform is called.
