The city’s fire chief concedes strong winds could fan flames this weekend as crews struggle to gain the upper hand on blazes throughout the city.
The death toll has risen – 10 people have been confirmed to have died in the fires – but authorities warn that number will rise.
150,000 people are right now under evacuation orders.
