Dammmm, I'm having great flashbacks. Excellent job on the restoration of this XR250. One of my few bikes back in the day that I've regreated ever letting go. I had a Red Bike/ Red frame like my with the blue seat, but that white addition looks really cool.
Congrats! Beautiful bike. Just so sorry we cannot get all the spares here in South Africa….and if you can get it, it costs a fortune. But we try. Keep up the good work Craig! I enjoy your videos…ππ»
Hey, next time you pull an alignment dowel, put a bolt in the middle of it so it doesn't get squished or warped. An old timer taught me that, and it was so simple I couldn't believe I didn't think about it before then. π
I also have an 86 250r I bought end of last summer. Fired it up over the winter and it hasnt been in one piece since. Hope my journey goes as well as yours does! hahaha
I'm looking forward to the video where Dan does the motor cycle work under Greg's guidance. The camera work might need a little practice by Greg, but I'd be entertained. β€
Love your channel, and it's great to see content from someone in my age group. Looking forward to what you have planned for 2025. Quick question: I recently purchased a 2015 Ducati Scrambler 800 Classic (dealer approved with 1 year warranty) that's completely stock, which I'd like to maintain due to strict Swiss regulations. The black plastic backplates on the turn signals need some restoration. I've seen you successfully rejuvenate plastic parts in your videos – what method would you recommend for these specific components?
Great episode! I liked that Dan put on gloves, hunkered down and was really involved in instaling the engine. How about doing an episode having Dan do maybe some standard maintenance tasks while you direct him with your hands in your pockets? It seems like it might be quite educational for us viewers. Also I seem to remember you mentioning Dan might ride something, maybe just around the parking lot, (I don't want to be responsible for him getting T-Boned in an intersection or anything).
Nothing against your old partner that moved to Tennessee, but I'm glad you have this channel now. IMO its more entertaining/interesting than what yall were doing together.

Hey Craig, are you looking for a bike to get running again in the area again? I know of one you may be interested in.

The GoPro on the piston going up and down was humorous.
I had a 96 xl250r and I loved that bike. It was bullet proof and one of the best bikes I ever owned.

I pictured Craig as more of a "Barbie Girl" type of guy when it came to brain music. π
