Goliath at La Ronde is one of the smallest Bolliger & Mabillard hyper coasters as it doesnโt quite clear 200 feet. While the ride has a relatively simple layout, it is a floater airtime machine that also gives great views of Montreal. Find out why more people should be talking about Goliath in this review!

Can't help but think of Behemoth. Great and scenic ride.
Great review! I havenโt honestly heard of this park but a handful of times because of Goliath, so it was nice to get an in depth look at it. The color scheme matching that of most Superman rides is interesting but it made sense when you explained Six Flags involvement.
Question though, do you plan on doing any reviews of the Dollywood coasters soon? Iโve watched your Lightning Rod video & really enjoyed it! Iโd love to hear about your experiences on their other coasters, particularly Thunderhead.
'I could ride this coaster all day.'
And then I did, because itโs the only thing worth riding at this nightmare of a park.
I hope that Le Monstre gets RMCโd at some point in the future.
this coaster is so good. i think its overlooked moslty because of the park it is at , with more six flags parks would get these mini hypers. six flags st.louis could really use this
for me la ronde was great and so was this coaster, i didnt get much airtime on the final few hills but they were just pure fun
Six flags didn't even go orion and make the drop 200ft ๐
1:42 – 2:11 I learned on Reddit that the reason why Six Flags couldn't use their branding with La Ronde is because of a law where everything in Quebec must be in French. If Six Flags translated their name, it wouldn't sound that good.
I wonder why they didnโt make it taller
nice video! also congrats on being in a vid with theme park crazy, that was awesome. Keep up the great work!
I have not ridden this coaster because of warnings about the awfulness of La Ronde's operations, that kept me away from the park… but I have seen it from a distance. It looked impressive.
B&M hypers are one of my favorite coaster types and this simple layout with bunny hill after bunny hill looks like it would be right down my alley. I hope to ride it someday!
Goliath is definitely worth the trip out to La Ronde. Those airtime hills are so consistent and satisfying. I preferred the last row, not only for the shorter line, but that trade-off of less sustained air for stronger floater is way worth it for the quantity of hills offered.
Hey, love your excellent Anglo pronunciation of Montreal and Quebec. Most out of towners get it wrong. Thanks for the review!
I was actually at La Ronde last month! While I do agree that the final break run is weird, I also agree that the dispatches are pretty slow.
Is the airtime as strong as Candymonium's airtime? Do you like this or Apollo's Chariot more?
This roller coaster looks really fun! Nice video.
This mostly gets a bad rep because it's not 200 feet and Taylor Boobie said La Ronde bad
It's a great mini hyper at least from what I can see
I was at La Ronde on opening day, half of the rides were closed including vampire, forunately Goliath was open and they were running two trains afternoon even though the park was fairly dead. So it was a walk-on all day and i rode it 8 times before i left, definitely a great ride.
I also went to the park last friday and it was extremely busy, they never pulled the second train out of the shed and it had an hour and a half wait.
Side note that green lanterns track appears to all be on site still, even though the project was cancelled, Half of the track is in the storage area near Vampire, and the other half is in the storage area behind Le Monstre.
Iโm surprised itโs not Superman themed
Hey, Canobie Coaster! This is one of the park's latest roller coasters to be built!
I wish six flags didnt neglect this park
Hey Canobie I donโt know if this is true but I have heard that Goliath is not a true hyper it is a mega Coaster not quite a hyper
I went to this park twice and both times it was absolute crap, I think I rode Goliath but I honestly can't remember, it was that forgettable, easily one of my least favourite amusement parks I've ever been to, with Le Monstre being my second least favourite coaster due to it's non-stop potholes, jankiness and jackhammering
Iโm not gonna lie I forgot this thing even existed! If thatโs the case for any B&M then itโs definitely underrated in this community
It DOES have a great "crows nest" turn around. Great airtime machine and not heavily trimmed.
Still not as underrated as goliath at SFOG or nitro
I haven't ridden a B&M Hyper but Goliath at La Ronde looks extremely underrated. The layout does look repetitive but it does differentiate it self with its layout, and elements. It's cool that it does a out and back layout that's not L shaped, it's also neat that its turn around is different from the other B&M hypers. The last few hills also look amazing.
I personally prefer Behemoth for the slightly more sustained hills and the small twister section after the MCBR, but this is quite an underrated ride
Even though I prefer more aggressive coasters, I also enjoy rides with sustained floater airtime. It was nice to see a more in-depth review of this coaster, because I've always wondered about it. If I ever get to that park, I look forward to riding it.
Wow you're right. I've heard of La Ronde but no one talks about this! I've never even heard of it ๐คฃ
If they didn't staple this layout sounds like a legit 9.5-10 rated coaster experience. It's gotta be one of the highest percentages of airtime within a ride's overall duration
For some reason, ONE HOUR into Opening Day this year, with lines beginning to swell, they switched to one train ops. Ops are definitely suspect on this B&M Hyper, much like Candymonium's Ops at Hersheypark!
Great review!!! I love the flojector I got in back row far left – it was FLYING on a HOT HOT opening day!!
goliath walibi review GOOO
In honor of MI'chigan's Adventure, I dub this coaster – Steel Timbers.
I go to la ronde since I am 4 years old Goliath is so freaking awesome
