Why doesn't Carley appear in these Star Trek Videos?
He cant make his own rules, because he broke the directive he completely altered how a species will evolve. They would have died but now they live and Star Fleet are their god who saved them. They could end up on a crusade slaughtering ,millions in their name.
these films are great, even if youre not a star trek fan, they are so well made. a must have in any ones film collection.
I do hope you plan to dive into Voyager and maybe Deep Space Nine too.
Into Darkness is such a ness, and this crew did not EARN those rehashed moments from Wrath of Khan. It was cheap. The whole thing is cheap.

I was wondering when you were going to figure out the Khan thing. I know you've seen the older ones, so was hoping you'd get there on your own. You did, in a superb way!
I've always felt that these movies (the Kelvin timeline) were meant to be movie movies, like go to a theater type movie. More spectacle than pure Trek. I do enjoy these Trek movies as popcorn adventures.

A great reaction, as always, but INTO DARKNESS was a huge disappointment, unfortunately. Glum (9/11 imagery, evil Starfleet) and repetitive (the character arcs are essentially the same as the 2009 movie), with a meaningless reuse of Khan (an Indian character inexplicably played by the whitest actor they could have possibly cast), who is just a random villain as far as this version of the Enterprise crew is concerned. They literally have to call up old-school Spock to get a re-cap of what Khan did in the other timeline, because otherwise it doesn't even matter that it's Khan. And, of course, they do a cutesy role reversal version of WRATH OF KHAN's iconic ending, which leads to the ridiculous idea that Khan's blood is a magical cure for death, an ill-considered plot point that the next movie (which is so much better) wisely ignored.

Growing up, my mom loved Star Wars, and my dad was a Trekky. I always thought Star Trek was soooooo boring 😂 until these movies came out. JJ made it interesting to me lol
It’s not a bad movie but why setup a new timeline in the first movie so you can tell completely new stories only to remake Star Trek II in the second movie. Makes no sense.

Here’s the problem I have considering this a direct remake of Star Trek two. By the time the wrath of con was made Kirk and Spock have been friends for over 20 years. So when spark died, it was devastating like he lost his brother. But with this one they’ve only known each other a short time so when Kirk died, it wouldn’t have carried as much weight. Don’t get me wrong. I like the movie a lot but not as much as the first one.
Funniest parts, Carol Marcus and Khan with british accents. 😅😅
Much as I like Cumberbatch he was miscast as Khan. IMO Javier Bardem would have been a lot better.
On a side note, if you want to see Anton Yelchin in something else, one of my top 10 films of all time is Hearts In Atlantis. It also has Anthony Hopkins, and a personal friend of mine, Mika Boorem who lived in my town before moving to California to pursue her acting career.
The first Abram's "reboot" was ok, even forgivable at times. Into Darkness though was a travesty, that spit on Wrath Of Khan.
Hopefully you'll check out Picard after ST: Beyond (another travesty). I'm an older Trekkie and thought Picard was great, despite some problems it had, I even enjoyed Discovery.
Just don't let people and their sour attitudes dictate what you watch. There's always going to be Trek "puritans" (and for other franchises) that forget the shows core values and philosophy for the sake of being unreasonably critical or finding non-issues because they don't align with their political inclinations. 🖖
I hate—hate—haaate this movie with the burning of 1000 suns. It’s so desperate to be WoK without any understanding of what made that film work. The magic blood crap was just the final middle finger to the audience.
Beyond redeemed things somewhat.
Silly movie. In typical JJ Abrams fashion it cracks along at a rapid pace to distract from the hackneyed and contrived plot. Khan’s brilliant plan to free his friends was to hide them inside missiles 😂😂 It’s so dumb.

It's giving me chills to see people experience Star Trek for the first time – my wife couldn't think she would even like Star Trek one bit and now she is the one being up to date to all new series. So nice to see people having the same reactions to those stories <3
I've always thought a superb, missed opportunity would to have had an end credits scene where we see Khan and his crew being "rehomed" on Ceti Alpha 5.
i understand the reasons why people don't like these movies, but sometimes it's just about good fun, not everything needs to be cerebral. these are new movies for new generation, and i enjoy watching them any time ❤
