The Bugattis of this era were just the most beautiful looking cars ever made, and this one is probably the most gorgeous of them all. What a beauty. Those curves are just simply amazing. And on top of that, it's a racecar with an insane amount of power for its time… astonishing.
Jay, as I recall, you were born about a week before I was, and in 2000 I was 50, not 40. Haha!
The young gentleman's casual attitude. Is like he has grown up in the museum. He is very knowledgeable. 😁👍 O. Geez, I see I commented earlier. He DID grow up in the museum. 🤦
Did they have BX wires in 1931?
no need for the bad side kick
This car was " the other woman " for a very few lucky men. Such a beauty.
one of the most beautiful car ever built
That car sounds great! Great show Jay. If I'm ever in LA I'll definitely go to that museum.
Jay Leno is a true car historian.
the profile of that car at rear 3/4 is breath taking….
Such an awesome young man showing great respect for Jay and the love of his family.
Amazing seeing these cars being driven on the street ! Thanks J
I’m sure somebody was cringing to death when he was touching all the engine parts
Used to work right down the street from there. Would often go over on my lunch hour. Never thought I’d see it on the street.
I just love everything about this car.
I don't understand why you'd drive this on public roads. Anyone else notice the big Suv do a U -turn right after they passed by? It's cool though, seeing this car on the street.
A piece of automotive art.
I like to fancy that it's just another old french car. The actual worth in money today spoil the feel for engineering and the joy of driving.
Car from 1931 which can keep up with modern cars!! Also looks a little better. Guess this is why they don't change hands for 8k.
Cannot believe you are out there with a multi million dollar car hauling arse down a California street.
I was a passenger in a modern Bugatti in Dubai in 2016. It was the fastest I've ever gone in a car. Id love to get a ride in a classic one.
That's got to be one of the most beautiful car bodies of all time.
👍👍👍👏👏👏👍👍👍👋👋👋🥂🥂🥂🍾🍾🍾🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Nice! I'm glad this drove well as it reminded me of the Talbot Lago you had on the show, but the gear pre-selector failed. There's just something about continental European styling from the art deco era.
Imagine, going for a ride in a car worth an incredible amount of money, with Jay Leno!!! how cool is that!!!
6:25. That realization. 😐
The car was still a teenager when Jay was born. Neither came with Synchro's.
Isnt that Nethercutt collection who has one Bugatti bought from Poland after the war? It is a fascinating story also, dealing with export of the car with communist regime
I wouldn't want to drive that thing suppose some idiot ran a red light and you hit him or some other reason that wasn't his fault and and to wreck that car
That is the most beautiful colour I’ve ever seen in my life…
I love hearing the gearbox and engine. So many sounds all at once. It's awesome that the museum brings cars out to drive. Hats off to them!
Again, too cool.
A work of art!
Is that a leather dampening disc in the steering shaft?
I just want to say as a teenager my family was in the show car scene and I met Jay at a show / auction and he is one of the most down to earth nicest people I have come across with his wealth and status. Thank you Mr. Leno the world could use more of you and thanks for showing us all things we would never have the opportunity to see or learn about. 😊
THAT'S THE SEXIEST CAR AND COLOR EVER
👀…👍🔥😎🔥👍
Just a note: Jay Leno mentioning someone else’s car collection amazing. If I had a choice after I die I’d ask the powers that be just send me to Jay Leno’s Garage, any one of them. I’d be the most appreciative ghost and I wouldn’t say “boo” you’d only hear “ooohhh, aahhh”.
