My policy is: When you release a product with these kinds of problems in them, and you double-down on your own ego over prioritizing actually fixing your product, you get a "No Mercy & No Money" flag from me.

Can't help but feel lost ark got the same treatment, 10,000 positive review for a beta just seems really high. Played the game over the last 2 years on Russian and Japanese server the game is good but not THAT good. Also people in the community that knows about the game already plays the game its not that hard you just need a vpn and a simple english patch. The reaction to the beta is way over hyped.
Checking the reviews again on steam, yup a lot of the review have been purged they total reviews are way way lower now… soooo shady… might not but bot, might be review farms

I have like 500 hours on Valheim so naturally I just love cutting down trees and picking up rocks, I'm like the kid with the lighter in that meme where the 2 people are fighting and he's lighting something in the back. I do think if you're trying to play New World competitively you're obviously gonna be mad, so if anything New World taught me how to be a casual again and genuinely enjoy playing an MMO in that fashion.
They will run Lost Ark into the ground next. They already set the foundation for it's destruction through the shoe-horned censorship and blackwashing main character NPCs. It'll be dead in 1-2 months post release just like NW.

Mmo’s as a genre are dead gen z doesn’t like mmos. Requires too much attention. That’s why we see mmos all turning into hyper streamlined, convenient and catered experiences that may feel good to someone who has never played an mmo. But as an mmo vet I can honestly say that the era of mmo is gone. It’s all about how mobile your game is and how many microtransactions you can sell to adhd kids that have trouble being patient. I am not being derogatory. I too am an adhd kid that feels taken advantage of my gaming companies. This generation is content with garbage media and the billion dollar companies that run the gaming industry don’t care about making good games. They only care about making as much money as possible before the short attention span generation switches trends.

The Primary issue with new world is the flat story… It's very vague… Nothing that makes it's audience care about the characters…World of Warcraft has benefited from a strong story for a long time … Atleast till recently… In order for any MMO to do well.. you need a world and character's that you give a shit about.. the whole create your own story bullshit is just lazy game design… Making a good game is similar to writing your own book… Your just giving your audience more control over the narrative

I went onto new world a couple weeks ago and the marauders are super salty and have no territory on there. Before when I was playing we had SOME but I logged in and no green. I made a comment in the faction chat and people got so mad, and then I got ddosed. A minute after I made those comments my internet went down for a bit. Fuck that game fuck those toxic people
really makes you wonder about amazon reviews for products.
