All this means is that they’ll have to offer replacement parts for the effected models and probably set up a service center to do part swaps for people who won’t do it themselves. And unless the government forces traxxas to pay for the shipping process most people will opt to just get the replacement parts mailed to them instead of paying Aton of money to ship their rc to traxxas

I only have one traxxAss, ye olde Rustler VXL with all the RPM parts I could fit on it, only stock parts are chassis and electronics.
Still planning to get new rear axles for it since one broke, on wet grass, and it wasn`t even a full pull :/
Gonna have to find something compatible.

I`ll probably break it again this winter but hey, at least I`ll have cancer in California 😋
They must have done the sums, but I would guess the cost of replacing the entire car can't be far off what it would cost for them to employ labour to replace the affected parts and return. Not a nice problem to have for Traxxas.

This is why I bought 2 traxxas clones.
Glad I've always hated traxxas, so I've never bought one, because they're the typical big corporations that doesn't give a shit about their consumers.
So thats why i havent been able to find a slipper rebuild kit for my rustler 2wd.
I hope you're not gonna send all your vehicles back. Just take out the slipper. Clutches that are affected and the brake discs and put in metal, titanium or aluminum equipment instead
Once you have submitted your form what is there next course of action? Are they sending out replacement parts to replace in the model ourselves?

The reality is it used to be completely common to have asbestos in these types of things. Automotive breakpads, drum brake shoes, clutch plates and many other things used to frequently use it. The chance of exposure from rc brake pads/clutch shoes would be really minimal due to the size and operation.
I gonna get back my slash slipper clutch and gonna ask they send me a center diff. That would be enough for me.
i have many brand of RC and been in the hobby over 20 years now, I wonder how many people here know or realize that the same issue is apparently happening within Arrma as well, makes me really wonder were the truth really is. I don’t comment much on youtube BUT, it seems that this is fishy on both sides of the supposed concern.
besides the fact that so many, comment here that they think Traxxas has bad legality practices let me tell you something. I run businesses and own businesses and if you don’t protect your patents by pursuing other companies that are even closely resembling your patterns, ideas and designs, then you aren’t gonna be in business very long. so I put little weight in the thought processes of those people because they obviously have not run businesses or own corporations etc. so get off your high horse. good day.
