Strong storms bringing isolated heavy showers and downpours to North Queensland, heavy rain from thunderstorms forecast across south eastern Queensland and NSW, a lot is on the forecast across the nations east this week. We also take a look at two developing tropical lows on the forecast adjacent to the WA coastline.

  1. 2 days ago there were storms from midday moving along the ranges from the Coffs and central coast in a south east direction all the way to cangai were we live.
    We recorded 2inches in the rain gauge.
    My partner was surprised going on the gfs charts that he mulls over 24/7 looking for potential surf and were not getting much there either

  2. Its been 6 years since the bad bushfires in the Northern Rivers/Clarence Valley. If we don't get some decent rain over the next couple of months we will be looking at a terrible fire season from August onwards.

  3. Bom stats will get a bashing in the next two to three days, hopefully the High coming through will park itself in the Bight for a couple days, keeping the temps moderate and some good rain for the dry areas. Severe weather is normal weather for Australia.
