Strong severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall will spread itself over parts of coastal Queensland throughout the remainder of this week and into this weekend, with severe storms possible over the south east, central coast and far north, and heavy falls possible but unlikely in the central coast, and possible in the far north. We also take a look at severe storms over NSW and Victoria, heatwaves over central Australia and a tropical low forecast over WA.

Where I am in the Clarence Valley, we did not get one drop of rain in December. Still none in January. Pretty much unheard of this time of year.

Just had a fast, loud and lovely little thunderstorm pass over Gordonvale fnq, some showers, enough to cool it down a little which is always wonderful 😊
Cairns beaches feel hoter than usual. Wheelie bin lids are turning white in the local area due to sun bleach. No way am I gonna go out side and fry. The gardeners came at midday. I felt so sorry for them.
