  1. When I first found Alpha Tech, I was very excited, but after a few weeks I realize that videos are produced so often 75% of each successive video is just rehashed info from several videos already published. I find myself watching them less and less. (Nothing to do with Russian bots or alogarithms) just find them less and less enjoyable with less and less NEW info.

  2. Geeze-all this talk about landing is getting ridiculous. I believe Starship and Booster can handle the extra load of landing legs. I mean come on they need practice landing with landing legs before we go to the Moon and beyond-there will be no chopsticks there to catch it. So, come on Elon lets setup a landing zone somewhere close to Starbase.

  3. They complain about Ocean salt water corroding parts when landing in it. Find a fresh water lake nearby and land it there with only mud and silt a problem. Or better yet dig a large pool even closer and fill it with clean fresh water.

  4. Take off is in Texas
Launch pads that are vital and smashing them is costly?
Building out from base take off area with a road way and pier with rail roadway landing pad at end
    water all around ?
    like Clearwater bridge water road
    stone sand coved area?
Wild life fish birds turtles thrive
even open public area for fishing sailing
in times of no landing take off period.
Small tower lift grap take of pad onto
Transorters easier for safety and time turn around

  5. If refueling a rocket, like Starship, from low Earth orbit can enable it to continue to Mars, are there other scenarios not previously considered like refueling a returning Starship for powered reentry to Earth or even Mars? Granted, you would want the depot to be traveling in orbit at a speed that would closely match the speed of the incoming ship so that it would not require too much fuel to mate with the depot. What I'm trying to get at, is that space craft don't have remaining fuel to slow the craft for reentry and that's why there's a heat shield. If there was fuel for a powered reentry, could a fully fueled ship slow itself enough to eliminate the need for a heat shield?

  6. Have you guys done the math? By the time they've finished developing this "Starship" it'll be overweight and barely be able to hold cargo.
The heat shields have to be super thin. Elon even said that the Steel hull will be able to cope with hundreds of degrees. This is the benefit of using steel.
That's great, but what about the cargo? It's going to get awfully hot in there.
He would've been better off using smaller rockets to supply/build a larger one in orbit!
It's all about the show though.

  7. I was wondering what is the recovery plan if a spaceship tries to land on the moon or mars and while landing either one or two legs sink into the ground causing the spaceship to fall on it's side?

  8. I am learning more as days come and fold it's day. Hallelujah🙏

It's a huge plus of having landing legs of Starship once it entered our atmosphere in case it will land on the OCEAN using the "Droneship."

  9. They won’t be sending anyone anywhere until they solve the radiation problem of crossing the Van Allen Belt. The radiation there is about ten times lethal levels and would require around 10cm of solid lead shielding to survive the transit. Add an incoming solar CME and you will have to double that. It is going to take a lot of fuel and a lot of launches to assemble any kind of craft capable of crossing that lethal barrier. The highest shuttle flight resulted in symptoms of ocular flashes due to radiation and cosmic rays and they only made it a third of the way to the Van Allen. Most of the public is unaware of how many lies they have been told and are unfamiliar with just how hostile space is. They still think that the technology of 50+ years ago was better than today’s. They didn’t even have pocket calculators back then.

  10. Starship and heavy look to be expendables. They have serious mass fraction, tippy, trapped fume aft body ignition, and RUD when landing. It's a poor design failed concept in panic mode. Expendable is where it's going.

  11. Install Mechazilla on the droneship and deploy the droneship around the Earth at the landing distance after the Super Heavy launches it. After that, refuel at the landing site and launch it again, and repeat the landing with the next droneship to circle the Earth and return to the original launch site. Droneships with poor accessibility are mainly used as landing and launch sites for Tanker Starships by attaching a fuel production base.
