One thing that rings false about this sim is that the modern ships did not launch missiles to attack the enemy carriers. If, per the commentary, they could see the enemy aircraft launch from the carriers’ decks why wouldn’t they try to hit the carriers? May not have cut the attack, but wouldn’t they want to take out the carriers on general principles? Anyway this has been interesting. Thank you.
Ugh so many questions… it feels like you try to handicap the modern force in every single one of these videos in some way or another. That or you guys just don't understand how modern military assets are supposed to be used. But the biggest question is: Why didn't the US planes come up to join the fight since they had ample warning of the incoming?
You would think the American planes would have taken of and got involved.

PH was 911, so it was wanted to happen by USA to join the war to finish with the businesses they lended the money to. And for territory grab of course.

If USA has simply MANNED the anti-aircraft guns and put up a few dozen fighter planes (which WERE available), the Japanese attack would have been seriously blunted. Pearl Harbor was destroyed by American incompetence just as much as by Japanese aggression.
So, basically the USA would have started the war.
Today we know that the Japanese were on a run to start war. But back then, it was still peace. If you just start firing at something you see on your radar behind the horizon, I am courious how you justify that.

The Arleigh Burke, at the first sign of trouble, would have launched a MH-60 LAMPS III to go pin point the fleet, and then let a few long range SM’s out to down the carriers, to halt any further launches
The real world answer is No. Not a chance unless 1941 knew it was going to happen and knew where the enemy fleet was.

I know im late to the party, but you should do a modern pearl harbour with all the ships replaced with modern versions, and all the aircraft replaced with modern versions as well. Japan operates F16s and F15s so you can use them as the Zeros and Vals/Kates
