  1. Like the Simpsons but I don’t think it’s the right fit for the park. I would like to see Disney go back to original rides, park themes, stop with the IP; I get it may be easier to promote but I feel the original story lines make for better rides and help Disney stand out.

  2. Just back from Tokyo Disney & totally agree with Tom about restaurant specific cups, trays, etc. – Tokyo just does EVERYTHING right including service among the CM – each & every person we interacted with was amazing & truly seemed to enjoy their job, & don’t get me started on the cleanliness of parks & Toy Story hotel – it was like we were the 1st people ever in our room, everything was spotless & perfect/not a paint chipped 🤯 – I don’t know how they do it – it’s the way WDW used to be

  3. I dunno. I feel like Disney would at least try to get the themed foods right. Two of my biggest disappointments at that food court was that the Flaming Mo wasn't purple and the Ribwich wasn't a knockoff McRib.

  4. I'd be fine with the Simpsons at Disney Studio parks (or CA Adventures), but I personally love Bob's Burgers more. And now that Disney owns the Alien franchise, I'd love to see new Alien Adventure attractions, but themed to the Aliens characters from the Ridley Scott and then James Cameron films.

  5. Loved the intro- so cute!! Also, I love Space Ranger Spin because it’s great for the whole family, but I think it is time for some kind of refresh. Definitely don’t want to lose it, but it could use an update and I don’t think I would be too upset if it wasn’t Buzz Lightyear themed anymore since we have plenty of other Toy Story stuff in the parks. However, I’d also be happy if they kept it Toy Story, but just updated it. I’m also not too interested in Simpsons, so hopefully they don’t do much with that…. Thanks for the updates!!

  6. It seems like The Simpsons has been done. How would Disney’s version be different and better? There are other big 20th Century IPs Disney could use in the parks: Aliens, Independence Day, Rio, and Ice Age. But, I’m not sure they are any better than Disney’s other IPs. Of course, Avatar is already there and Star Wars was technically 20th Century (at least the original characters).

  7. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE The Simpsons. However, it would feel so out of place at Disney and I wish we could get a refurb for Springfield at Universal. I loved the land, it’s just stuck in 2008.

  8. i absolutely love the simpsons and although i don’t think springfield at universal is perfect, it’s probably way better than anything disney would do with them. i’d hate to see the simpsons leave universal in favor of disney 😢

  9. Simpsons? Yes, PLEASE, Disney!!! It belongs at Disney just as much as Star Wars, Marvel, or Bluey. My son and his friends all love the Simpsons, and we would love a new land, especially as Universal is rumored to be shutting their Simpsons area down soon. Don’t underestimate the brand’s appeal internationally, it’s been on 30+ years. It would be great as a Toy Story Mania style ride, that ride doesn’t get enough credit for sheer fun factor!

  10. The Simpsons is too tacky for the parks. It’s not premium enough. Also, not only is it dead as a brand, but it has a history of mocking the bloated greed of the Disney parks.

I want the Muppets and Jim Henson’s incredible artistic work and timeless characters to be highlighted. Not a dead, post-modernist cartoon.

  11. The Simpsons is satirical, cynical.

The Disney Parks are NOT cynical. If Iger doesn’t understand that, it shows that he knows NOTHING about Walt’s ethos, or he has grown cynical and uncaring about it himself. In both cases, he needs kicked out before he leaves any more lasting damage.

  12. According to Dr. Google and what I have also seen discussed online. The Simpsons was the most in demand series on Disney+ for the year as a whole. Search labs indicating it had a demand of 52.75 times higher than the average series. (I'm sure there are a lot of older series that no one watches that skews that). But as a whole, the Simpsons might have more viewers on a day to day basis than their Star Wars and Marvel franchises from a D+ perspective.

  13. Disney adding that requirement of park hopper on the tickets absolutely kills "free dining" for me, now those who would normally park hop then great for them, for me Disney World really is about the experience of the whole resort so one park per day is the gold standard for me. And if memory serves park hopping adds $75-90 for the required minimum stay, so you're barely saving anything over just buying the dining plan, and when you factor in the non-discounted rates you're absolutely getting hosed on the deal.

  14. I would rather have the simpsons in magic kingdom were there putting cars. I mean you can theme the building and sounds accordingly we’re it really wouldn’t impact the area. Cars would be more of a Hollywood studios thing that if they created the space of over the top parking lot I mean yeah
