Avantae Deven is facing serious accusations in connection with the deaths of her two adopted children. Numerous people have now come forward with their own stories of what life inside Avantae’s house was like. Currently, she is in custody in Cumberland County North Carolina awaiting Trial.

  1. I don’t think she expected the 9-1-1 dispatcher to ask her more detailed questions and she was clearly not prepared to solidify her timeline as to when she last saw the child. She sounds so non-committal on the phone with the 9-1-1 dispatcher.

  3. This makes me so sick. Why adopt them to hurt them?! It doesn't ever make sense to me how evil these people are. So sad. Also how insane are you to say a 7 to 10 year old boy was talking about a Buddhist retreat?! He's a kid like WTF.

  6. We need stringent checks on home schooled children. Too many abusive parents use that excuse to hide the abuse, and that type doesn't give their children any education at all. We can't just keep letting these douchebags abuse children.

  12. I am so thankful that my brain doesn’t think “oh it’s nothing to hurt or kill other people especially kids” I can’t even wrap my head around being responsible for someone else’s death .. I mean if someone was to break into my home I would definitely protect my family by all means possible but that shit would mess me up for life after that

  27. Clearly she is one of those who abuses the system (and the related humans) for her income.
    Sadly it’s not uncommon. People who adopted out of foster care get paid a monthly stipend for each kid. And her mom was getting social security. And her “business” would get certain benefits too. Sickening

  28. Creepy 911 call. My oldest went missing for 10 minutes when I let him play outside with friends and their moms, and I was shaking from head to toe crying and running all over to look for him. He’d just gone to play inside our nearest neighbor’s house without asking me, and I almost died!
