Lorent Part 7: Mountains Are for Dwarves! – EU4 Anbennar Let's Play

WHile we may not have answered Rubyholds call to arms in the past, we still believe they should hold their mountain lands. Lasean has decided to take it for themselves and this is unacceptable. If the Dwarves are willing to give up their independence, we would be more than happy to help them retrieve their lost territory!

Anbennar is a total conversion mod for Europa Universalis IV. It is set in a fantasy world of elves, dwarves, magic, monsters, and more! What stories will you tell and what adventures will you embark upon? This is one of the best mods created for EU IV and you should check it out for yourself!

  1. Concerning Rubyhold, IIRC you CAN gain the full benefit from a dwarven hold if the culture in it is a dwarf culture and is accepted. You will however have no way to increase its dig level.

  2. One question how can I survive playing as Nimscodd.Three attempts and in all three I'm destroyed by Gawed (also I don't have all the DLC's).
A suggestion you don't need to make a lot of colonial nation at the start, you make 2 or 3 strong ones and wait for the adventurers to becomr kingdoms so that they become weaker [suggestions for colonial nations the one in the banished isles(subsidize them),the Lai peninsula one(in the south-east) and the noruin one(though most of the adventurers are there)]
I'd like to show you my most succesfull campaing (Eborthill and very colonial) but YouTube doesn't allow pistures to be sent.
Also there isn't a poll this time for the next nation?

  3. I would conquer venail because you could make a lot of money off their colonies, at first it would cost a lot because of all the colonies being made but it would be worth a lot more to own and have one less competitor for the new land over there

  4. You can't afford to have 3-5k troops sitting on a colony that does noting? Just admit you don't wanna micro moving them around and will just forget about them lol

  5. Always make sure to keep your diplomats busy. Counties can only join a coalition against you if they have negative opinion of, regardless of AE. You should improve relations during wars
Also why are you improving relations with Sorncoast when you are annexing them lol 😆.

  6. Are you planning to kill Venail to prevent them from colonizing all of the Bloodglades before you? Or would it be advantageous to have a large, homogenous colony to conquer out there?

  7. I would honestly annex Venail. While it's true that you can get for free. However, if they by some chance form Alenar before that, they depopulate the island, turning it into uncolonized provinces, tanking the dev.

  8. I think you should try to vassalize Eulaire. If you ally them they get less AE overtime, which makes getting 190 easier. Plus they are never going to get enough favors to call you into a war. They would probably get 1 favor for every four years.

  9. Let me tell you I regret going colonial. They get attacked all the time, They have rebels all the time, The border gore is insane as everyone goes colonial in anbennar so you have to declare a bunch of colonialism wars, which causes over tension and so your colonies implode in rebels 😫😫

  10. Ah the ol' 'sacrifice wex to the coalition' play… I'm on my first playthrough and stay a bit ahead of the videos and I did the same thing when Gawed joined my coalition, just sat by watching them siege Wex forever as I took every fort they had.
Context: I had a lot more AE a lot faster. It was actually my first coalition victory, having a lot of fun with this mod!
