i go tot the movies in a very large group of friends all of us are very polite and quiet during the movie. we had 3 kids in front of us on their phones at max volume not even watching the movie on opening night. we told the manager after asking them politely repeatedly to turn off the phones or just go out of the theater. a lone employee comes in and says please stop. literally "please stop" and walks away. of course the kids didnt care and kept on being rude. so all of us went and got out money back when the film was over. They could have thrown 3 unruly kids out and kept their money. but they literally wont do anything about it anymore because parents will sue or who knows what (in fact one of those kids was being spoken to by the police after the film for screaming racial slurs in the theater) how does it make any sense to not remove unruly visitors who are ruining the fun for everyone else? and instead you end up refunded something like 8+ people and losing like 150$ in ticket sales. the theaters are dying as it is and treating theater goers like this is just gonna accelerate the swift death.

Tech gripes. A start is isp supplied router being shit then they wonder why they have bad reviews and stupidly busy call centres. Over price phone batteries and companies not selling accessories for a device for example, my phones uses a125w charger i wanted another but they do not sell them. They will send you one if its faulty but not sell it. My pressure cooker they do not stock the seal for it so when my device didny work then they sent me a whole new one. Fast charging phones being supet selectove with chargers. My old one plus had 50w charger and my current phone 125w. My phone will just charger at 7w its so stupid. The cables good and works fine on other devices. One more is the stupid handhelp telephone/scanners used in places like supermarkets. They are stupidly slow and really expensive a generic android devices would do a far better job.
Holy s*** linus, you just saved my life with that steam store issue with sleeping on windows. You know how many times I've come into my office after putting my computer to sleep only for the most slight vibration to wake it up and then all night it doesn't turn off. I just tested the store Page and it wouldn't turn off, and then head on the library and it did go to sleep and stayed asleep last night. I just got a brand new OLED display for Christmas so I'm very happy to hear this information now

I BEG of you to include this, and to research my complaint further if you read it. I have been ultra passionate about tech and gaming since I learned to walk. I live a balanced adult lifestyle but I have dedicated as much of my spare time as possible to Counter-Strike for the last 10 years. I have one single tech gripe which sits above all else and is specific to my niche. I am utterly convinced that all modern implementations of "Fullscreen" mode for DX11/12 games are entirely unacceptable for competitive esports titles. I have spent a lot of time researching this, and no matter what modifications you make in registry, in the compatibility options for specific executables, or in graphics drivers, all modern games will run in the equivalent of borderless fullscreen. And as someone who has always been extremely mechanically skilled in tactical FPS games, anecdotally this has destroyed my ability to "feel" the game. Mouse input with "fullscreen optimizations" feels numb by comparison to old iterations of fullscreen mode, where alt+tab took 5+ seconds in/out of game and the game took true ownership of the display hardware. I am desperate to see true fullscreen exclusive return to Windows, for the sake of all the esports players who are unaware of this change but are affected by it every day. It pisses me off to no end that windows 11 doesn’t let you move your taskbar around. It’s a complicated buggy reg edit now to do something that used to be a drag and drop.
That macOS menu bar going away in full screen mode can be turned off.
The dumb thing is if you turn it back on, it also stays for full screen media.
