Passed out during the final 15 minutes of the stream because it was 6am on the east coast, but this was so fun! Glad I was able to catch the final mako freak out live 🫶🏽 time to go watch all the other VODs now
Just to explain what I think the fandom generally believes: (1) Aerith died. (2) Cloud couldn’t cope with her dead (just like he couldn’t with Zack and with his mom) so his broken mind along with Mako and Jenova-cells are all working together to create a delusion of Aerith still being alive. (3) it’s not a multiverse, but souls in touch with the Lifestream can live their dreams and desires and even regrets as if they are real. The world’s are just the worlds spirits in and connected to the Lifestream conjure up to relive their memories or regrets. That’s what Zack and Biggs are also: sad they couldn’t save their friends, so they’re trying again from within the Lifestream as dead spirits. Zack will soon realize where he is and come to Cloud’s aid, just like Aerith’s spirit did in the last battle with Sephiroth. (4) The Edge of Creation is very likely just Cloud’s mind. Zack’s spirit and Aerith’s spirit found their way to Cloud’s mind to battle Sephiroth within Cloud’s mind. They won, for now.
5) Aerith at the very end (when she wakes up in Cloud’s arms may be a spirit from the Lifestream who can only reach out to mako-junkies, or a Jenova illusion tricking Cloud into going forward with the ‘plan’ (stay tuned!)

The final boss gauntlet was hard for me. I was at the exact recommended level and didn’t know it would randomly swap in party members so was not optimised for that.
Plus took everything great off Aerith to give to the other guys cos I had played the original game and had no expectations that she would be fighting. So the final phase was tough. The game was on rest mode a lot that weekend cos I had to do stud and didn’t wanna lose progress and restart the gauntlet lol

Thank you for playing this goddamn masterful game, subbed to the channel. My fav ps5 game this gen. Despite some of the intricacies here and there. It always shocks how incredible number of things this game has. Greatest combat system, best cast in history, peak production values and gameplay variety and amazing story moments.
I love how the scene at 4:16:33 happens like Cloud, Aerith and the others don't have Cura or a backpack full of potions to help that guy 😛

Don't know if it already got answered, but lore or flavor of Limit Breaks are a release of power after reaching an emotional threshold, like stress, anger, fear, love, sadness etc.
That's the reason why all characters start with a full bar of Limit Break after Aeriths death. (Clouds not full, cause he was still in denial. Most likely.)

Everyone has their limits except cloud because it's a story telling mechanic. Everyone is pissed and at their limits. But cloud is the delulu one thinking everything is fine, so he doesn't have a limit break
Also jenovas attack about mourning doesn't affect cloud. The rest are damaged
