there are now not 19 B2. They made 21 of them. 1 was/is just for testing. 1 got destroyed. And there are still 19 in use. last known combat was 10.16.20024. And there is none called Nightshade. you said it was on a routine flight over arizona, so it could be the "spirit of Pennsylvania" wich is stationed in california. (the one for testing) so there would be still 19 left if "nightshade" disapeared.
This is interesting but JDAM would not be so accurate without GPS. One hopes they have enough fuel to make the run. B-17s would normally not fo night missions…as the Brits did that. Their would be very few Me-109 nor Fw-190…outside of Wild Boar operations as they were poor night fighters. Me-163 were daylight operation only and with 7-8 minutes of flight time..not so prevalent. A better choice would be the Me-262 or the Heavy Fighter version of the Ar-234.
wasn't this a movie plot?
Now do "what if a single Dalek was sent back to WWII"
Do this: What if the modern U.S military time traveled to ww2
um weren't they supposed to drop the (MOP) missiles instead of the Jdams?
Depends on what it was armed with
Oh come on why follow b17 no he would apply speed max altitude wait for night then hit berlin
Jdam in we 2 would be more than useless
No first move away from. The bomber group so no one could see second start to figure out how to target a GPS guided missile with out GPS. Next circle around to stay away from any airborne targets next. Get in attack range . This is where it possible could be seen. The hard part would be do they know exactly where the bunks is
Can you do a f22 in the revolutionary war
What if the 88 flak hit the b2 while the b2 was with the b17
17s never flew at night unless we’re talking about the RAF.
In other words you want to know what happens in The Philadelphia Experiment 2. Yes. The answer is in that movie. Go watch it.
The B-2's sensors and other tech sound like this would be perfect for a Star Trek episode. The B-2 is that far ahead of its time.
You accounted for most things here (i know its fantasy) except, do all US pilots happen to know the coordinates of Hitler's secret underground bunker? How would they know where to fire?
Nah he wouldn’t even knew what hit him
Coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb
AC-130 in ww2
bringing a b2 to ww2 is the equivalent to bringing an m4a1 to the stone age
2 things here:
1. The B-17s flew missions in daytime for greater bomb accuracy. The RAF flew night missions.
2. The colour scheme of B-17 in Europe was Olive Drab, not silver.
youd wish americans hahahaha
They would only think, ok but this time the Horten brothers oversized the new fighter a bit.
US military in one piece world
Final countdown tales
a B-2 taking off from England could have ended the war with Germany and the war with Japan in one flight with two bombs.
Of course, there would be no fuel for the return trip so you would need to send a KC back with it.
then nazis will be happy that they conquered america
please do the b1 1 lancer
or sr 71
The Nazis would be more than capable of detecting the b-2 on their radars. the British and Germans used long wave radar, which stealth aircraft can be easily detected by, as apposed to short wave radar. short wave radar is what is most common on modern jets due to their smaller size.
Didn’t Germany have flying wing plans on the drawing board?
