"Coverage of fast chargers is poor"
I have a 2019 M3 SR since July 2019, at the time, the supercharger map showed a supercharger installation coming soon in my city(Gatineau, QC, Canada), to this day it is still not done. On the Ontario side, coverage seems good, on the Quebec side north of Ottawa/Gatineau, it is non-existant for Tesla, and some areas have no alternative for LONG sections of roads. My main long commute did not have a fast charger for a long time but the car could just do it in Winter time on a full charge, Since then, last year a new fast charger was installed mid-way and it has been a big relief.
So that is a valid concern in some areas

Our electric bill did NOT rise due to charging our two Tesla's because we have solar paneled roof coupled with Powerwal-2 batteries and charge both cars with our solar system, which costs us nothing to charge. We actually operate as a microgrid ~8 months of the year using no grid sourced energy and have averaged over 300% net positive solar energy production over electric use over the past twelve years.
For railroad electrification, in Finland almost 90% of train travel is electric (not battery electric), even though only about half the railroads are electrified, but most common routes ones are.
This crap is hard to watch.
60k purpose built vehicles with little to know maintenance is not comparable to a production of 100k or 1m units a year. While not a completely unique set of requirements, a postal vehicle will probably a one off production run with little or no follow money gor maintenance or replacement (which itself will be in 15+ years).
