Getting Christmas On Track | Islands & Trains (Cozy Island & Train Track Builder – Christmas Demo)

Islands & Trains is an absolutely wonderful game where we get to build some islands and play with trains. And that’s it. Simple. No timers, no pressure, no monsters, just a lovely relaxing building game where we get to build and build until we make nice things.

We can place land and then onto the land we can build many things. Many many things! Rocks, trees, bushes, houses, picnic tables, fields, barns, bridges, windmills, slides, tents, campfires, waterfalls, geese, just so many wonderful things.

And of course, we get to build a train track, complete with a train! A little train, with carriages and trailers, that pootles about on tracks we build to move about our island. We control the speed of the train so we could make it get a bit of a wriggle on or we could just let it take a leisurely trundle about.

This is also a look at the fancy new Christmas version of the demo which comes with all sorts of Christmassy things! Including Christmas themed trains and carriages, plus dozens of new Christmas items like Christmas trees, reindeer, Christmas market stalls.

It’s fantastic and brilliant and charming and I love it.

NOTE: This is the demo version of the game. A fancy Christmas version, whoooh!

Islands & Trains is a relaxing cozy sandbox builder game. Build your own colorful little worlds, however you like.

Create tiny dioramas with just one shed or idyllic villages nestled in dense forests.

Lay your own railroad atop your beloved island and make your model train dreams come true. Place animals in the countryside andwatch & enjoy your peaceful creation. Get lost in finding the most perfect place for all these little pieces to come alive.

No goals, no timer, no missions, and no mistakes – just happy accidents.

Of course we were inspired by wonderful games such as Islanders, Dorfromantik and Townscaper.

  1. Hello penge. The odds of you remembering me are next to none but I have a story.

Over a year and a half ago (maybe two and a half come to think of it) i left a comment on one of your videos, though I don’t remember which.

If i remember correctly it was something about me having misread your name and thinking you were named the “the greek cupboard” and being confused about your accent when I first found this channel.

I was astonished to have found a creator so engaged with his community that he was willing to spend 15 minutes of his time chatting with someone random YouTube commenter

Of course the conversation ended eventually and you left me a bit of a joke challenge to watch every geek cupboard upload made before that video.

Ive since become a channel member and have been lurking seeing your content ever since that video. Its thanks to you I’ve found some of my favorite indie games like spell caster university and precipice.

Im leaving this comment to report to you that, with some exceptions and delays due to me wanting to watch your newer content as well, I have accomplished that challenge (at least I think, as I said i dont remember the exact video so im working off of a general
    era of your content)

Thank you for your amazing content Penge. Here is to much more of it to come. I know its a little early but I feel this fits the theme so, happy new year.

  2. OMG. Penge, this is amazing. There‘s a very popular childrens‘ book here in Germany of an Island with a handful of inhabitants (incl. a King) and a train track with a locomotive called Emma.. This reminded me immediately of those stories. Just waiting for the pirates now 😂 The island has two mountains and is called Lummerland 😊 Thanks for this on a dreary Sunday morning. I love your videos.
