I loooove Vintage Disney! So cool. But can we all use some imagination and pretend something huge is coming to that site?! What would everyone like to see?!
I would like it if Disney went a bit further into integrating Native American culture and history into Frontierland. Watching that clip at the end of the old Frontierland had some interesting things going on. Also knowing Walt's love of trains, it's kind of sad to see that old train ride now gone.

I don’t understand why they would close Matterhorn while HM is going to be down. Couldn’t they just start the refurb a few weeks later when HM is back? Not good for capacity in late August seeing as Toon Town and the treehouse is also down.
What is Chapek is really going for the likes and is going to announce Peoplemover coming back as well as a redo of the Frontierland train? That would be pretty epic!
Thanks so much for the WWOD segment at the end, David……it brings up so many feelings and memories of simpler times, when I was a kid…….with the sights, music and narration of Winston Hibler, who narrated many of the WWOD specials and the Disney True Life Adventures short subject films…….great stuff!

I remember being a little kid and my parents always picking that mark twain raised dock to watch fantasmic.
It was ALWAYS empty. Perfect little spot 👌🏼
I love the mobile order section for Rancho! We love to eat there but the whole ordering and pick up process is weird, mobile order is a lot easier for us with 3 kids 4 and under.
Ate at Zocolos last night and saw absolutely noone pick up a mobile order… just space wasted amd then the right side was frantic as heck trying to make all food for standing.

That was soooo awesome seeing old Frontierland!!! I've been blessed with going to Disneyland since a child many times as i type i am on my way home from a Disney trip. I have see so much change but video like that reminds you just how much real change there has been! Soooo rad love Disney history!!!!!

When pronouncing Rancho del Zocalo, the accent is on the first syllable of "Zocalo", not the second.

Is the Mark Twain on a rail/tracks. I wouldn’t think so other than it’d be be bad if it it the shore or docks.
Old footage was great! What I’m really really curious about now is what was in the location that New Orleans Square occupies now!? I know the Indian Village was where Critter Country is now.
It could be storage and they are water proofing it?????
Thanks for including the old footage of Frontierland! I’ve read about all those rides, and have seen photos, but this was the first time I’ve seen actual footage of it! It looks so very different than today’s Frontierland. Wish I could have seen it in person.
Loved the old footage! I remember fishing on the pier as a child but didn’t catch anything! Old home movies show me with my head on the rail, I guess because it was hot and I was probably tired.
Wow! Thanks for taking me back to my magical childhood at Disneyland. 🤩 I fished at that dock during my first trip at age 3 in 1956. In the b&w photo I have of me fishing there I’m all dressed up in one of my Sunday best dresses, lol. That’s how we dressed for Disneyland way back then. I loved everything about Frontierland, and experienced all of those rides many times, but my favorite was the Mine train. Such great memories! 😍

One of my friends who works at the park believes that the Tarzan's Treehouse may be converted into Encanto. He wasn't entirely sure but it was rumored that the Encanto overlay was meant to evoke the youngest child's gift of talking to animals and how he had a big tree in his "room". But again, this may just be rumor/conjecture.
Mesh like that is often used to keep rocks from falling or sliding they may be worried about stability and did that as precautionary measures
I loved Frontierland. But I was aware even then the forced perspective of the town really didn't work for the shootouts. It looked like they were having a gunfight around doll houses.

Boy do I remember the original frontier land. Loved the train when I was a yungin’. Disneyland was born 6 weeks and 20 miles from my birth place.
Wow David, I remember riding the train through Frontierlànd,. It was one of my favorite rides. It was my first time to Disneyland with my Mom, Grandma and Aunt. It was my 8th birthday and it was a surprise. I was hoping to see Walt Disney, but didn't – darn! Thanks for the memory!

Wow. Love the OG promotional video. Frontierland really looked rustic and “authentic” back in the day. However, I absolutely love the trade made to replace the mine train for Big Thunder. Best remove ‘em.
