At least 12 explosions hit the Saky naval airbase, causing a huge plume of smoke. Russia has disputed the claims and says it was not an attack but a detonation of ammunition. Crimeaโ€™s emergency services claimed three people were injured but there are few confirmed details about the explosion

  17. The airfield in Crimea was a spec op for sure. No missiles just badass operators doing the infiltrate, mine and ex-filtrate flawlessly…Kudos! if you do a basic BDA you see craters where the ammo and fuel went up but no impacts where each aircraft was blown up in their revetments. Classic tier 1 op! Some Russians will be on the carpet for this one.

The unfortunate truth for Ukraine is that once you start doing this, Russia simply ups the Anty, and in all honesty, the application of tactical/small 10 kiloton low yield neutron bombs they're considering using on the frontline comes into play. The non nuclear route is only for Strategic arms e.g the Hydrogen bomb, whereas the tactical use of the small Neutron weapons are being discussed as a viable option as they don't do mass damage to Civilian infrastructure and can be used on the front without the global outcry. – According to proponents, from Nato's position is that neutron bombs would blunt an invasion by Soviet tanks in the 80s and armored vehicles without causing as much damage or civilian deaths as the older nuclear weapons would. Neutron bombs would have been used if the REFORGER conventional response of NATO to the invasion was too slow or ineffective. – Having seen Nato's stance on the use of theTactical application of the Nuetron Bomb, Russia now reserves the right to use it also without the complication of Strategic Arms being used and all the diplomatic things that come with it. whether the 152mm and 203mm nuclear artillery shells have been removed from service is the real question and is it bluff or based on substance
