Is it me or do I detect that the author is confusing “the galaxy” with “the Milky Way” which is actually our galaxy? This story also reflects the (sadly) likely truth that, given certain parts of humanity’s desire for power would indeed be fighting for control. No suggestion of a peaceful humanity in this story, I fear.
