Israel’s defence minister Israel Katz has said he had ordered the military to establish a “sterile defence zone” in southern Syria without permanent Israeli presence.
This was to prevent any terrorist threat to Israel, he said.

They already have a defence zone it’s called the disengagement line and is also manned by UNDOF(United Nations) this runs all the way across the boarder between occupied Syria(sky news call it Israel) and mainland Syria.
