First Time at Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas: Festive Train, Shows, Carolers & Food Challenges

Join us for our first Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood! We are Dollywood Season Pass holders and have visited and thoroughly enjoyed every seasonal festival there besides the holidays, so now it’s time to remedy that and do all we can, and bring you along for our very real (and very imperfect) full Dollywood Smoky Mountain Christmas experience! We adore all the beautiful Christmas shows like Christmas in the Smokies and Candlelight Carolers, amazingly talented performers all over the park, of course a train ride on the Dollywood Express with the special holiday overlay, stay for day and night to see the charmingly decorated park, and even though there is a bit of a struggle with food and not everything goes perfectly, we still have a wonderful time in the cold weather in Tennessee and have lots of laughs, make wonderful memories, and enjoy our first Smoky Mountain Christmas, and I’m so grateful to be able to share it all, the good and the not so good, but all very real and very special, experience with you! Stay tuned for our first time seeing REAL snow, with a full, fluffy snowfall, in Tennessee, plus lots more Pigeon Forge wintertime holiday fun, coming up in the next vlog, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on our day!

  1. For all my people who have been with me and seen all our Dollywood adventures over the past few years, you'll know this one went very differently, but we still had a great time and it meant a lot to us to be there, and it means a lot to me to be able to always share with you our real experiences, as they are, not always perfect, but always memorable and precious to us! Stay tuned as our very interesting time in Pigeon Forge vid is next – it snowed, we got evacuated off a ride, it was a TIME!!! Lots of love! – J

  2. Is Smoky mountain Christmas at Dollywood now that sounds like a great Christmas experience

If you ever want to check out good Christmas lights in the downtown I have a city for you Quincy Massachusetts and trust me I'm pretty sure you can find a Dunkin' Donuts in Quincy as well as a lot of Great American history but the best place to see Christmas lights in Quincy brighten the area of City Hall HANCOCK/ ADAMS COMMON

AND TO EVERYBODY THAT HAS LOOKED AT THIS VIDEO 🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS

Oh yes Quincy does have the world's first Dunkin' Donuts as much as the shops all over the city the world's first one is on the Southern Artery right here in Quincy

  3. I'm very sorry you had such a rough time at Dollywood. The last time Kay and I were there we had to leave the park to eat. Just like you the lines were sooooo long that we didn't do it either. We went to the Woodfire grill buffet and it's amazing. The Sunliner is a 50's cafe who's menu is a newspaper, and Mama's Farm house is also an excellen buffet where ghe bring the food to your table. Hope you guys have a better time but as always this video was excellent. Thank you and Sam for all your work on your content. It certainly shows and boyh of you are the best content creators on YouTube in my humble opinion.

  4. Fall is our favorite time in Pigeon Forge! But we had an unfortunate day at Dollywood last fall on a very crowded day. Similar issues with the food like you all had, it was SO overcrowded and the staff were unfriendly. We thought maybe just overwhelmed with the crowd. It's still such a beautiful park in the Fall! Thank you for the video! 😊

  7. We just got back from Pigeon Forge / Gaitlinburg, Tennessee the week of Thanksgiving. We went to several dinner shows and The Island. Pigeon Forge was an amusement park all by itself. Everyone was everywhere and busy. The Island was great we rode the Ferris Wheel and watched the fountain show and had some moonshine / wine moonshine. We left on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it snowed the next day! We were in a cabin on mountain in Sevierville Tennessee. We would have been stuck! DONT GET SNOW STUCK ! 🙌 TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDD! 🙌

  8. I've waited 2 years for you to show us Dollywood at Christmas. I'm sad that it was an off day there. 😢 But I so appreciate your positive attitude and taking us on this journey. Glad you got some cinnamon bread.

  9. We are going this winter, during the first week in January. We have been passholders for years but never done Christmas there. Hopefully, it’s not too crowded. We are staying at Inn at Christmas Place, I wanted it to be really special. I don’t think we will be renewing our passes next season, because it has just gotten way too crowded, especially this past spring/summer, and they don’t even offer fast-passes for the only children’s rides that my daughter will ride (despite there always being hours long lines for those too).

  10. Jackie, When you get home you have to go to Disney Springs and wear your magic band. It Interacts with the trees and go to the side of the Disney store and activate the two windows with letters. Sorry, I don't know how else to get a message to you. Love all your video, safe travels home.

  11. This year Christmas at Dollywood is super disappointing it has NEVER been this way but with the construction where the big tree usually is and several rides closed along with the lack of food it just makes for a bad combination 😢

  12. My husband and I went to Dollywood in early November for the first time and fell in love!! We absolutely loved the Smoky Mountain Christmas festival, but had nothing to compare it to. Now I feel like we need to go in the fall next year to compare the two 😆. Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed watching your video after being there last month ❤️

  13. Our trip last christmas was a mess, no fault of the park! Our kids caught a stomach bug that was going around their school but we didn't realize it until we got to Dollywood. Needless to say, we made the five hour trip home in record time! The Heartsong staff was fantastic.. Our next trip was much better! I also saw Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were there!!! So fun!

  14. Hi, I'm a bit behind on watching. Love seeing y'all enjoy Dollywood at Christmas time. It is beautiful and the train ride is awsome. Love show, songs and views. Too bad that they need to figure out a better food situation for people on busy times. I read on Google that Dollywood is so popular that there has been people waiting outside of the park trying to get inside, after it's already so full of guests. Crazy. Anyway, y'all kept your enthusiasm and that makes it fun. Hope the next time y'all go at Christmas time, it will be a bit better food options available. I want go in Christmas time in future, so far we only been a couple of times in the summer, even though we loved it there, we vacationed mostly at beaches. Anyway, this was still looking like a goid time. Food just needs to be a bit more options. Thanks for sharing. Thanks fir reading my long comments. Be Safe Take Care ❤😊 Sam too😊 🕯 Happy Holidays 🕯 and 🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄 to everyone.
