Syrian Refugees In Britain Say They Want Go Back Home

Syrian refugees in Britain celebrated the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on Sunday, vowing to return home as rebels seized Damascus after a swift offensive.

Jubilant scenes filled Trafalgar Square as news spread of the dictator’s ousting after 14 years of civil war that claimed 500,000 lives and displaced millions. Rebel forces had captured Aleppo, Hama, and Homs before taking the capital in under two weeks.

Rebel commander Hasan Abdul Ghani urged Syrians abroad to return, tweeting: “Free Syria awaits you.”

  1. I think the GENUINE Syrians want to go home, they were truly in a displaced situation and they were welcomed by Merkel whether Europe wants to admit it or not, she opened the doors for them without bothering to confirm with the rest of Europe to take in so many.

It’s the other “migrants” everyone should be wary about. While they likely struggled, they were not in the same displacement situation Syrians were under.

This is why it was never going to work to assimilate, you have the real victims missing their home, too many to balance a way to provide the basic means of living like housing or food, the cultures don’t do well with adjusting to outside cultures, their cultures were too rigid to even follow laws of a host country, etc. If these Syrians do return back, it’s a least one problem solved but likely Europe is going to have to find a way to resolve the rest of the “migrants.”

  2. All comments represents the fake western empathy and love towards the others we see it clearly .none of them like their countries despite giving them a lot on the other side syrians want to go back even with the actual chaotic situation that says a lot about true patriotism. One day the truth will appear to those who voluntarily blind themselves

  3. WE DIDN’T RUN AWAY
We were at war. Thousands volunteered, then went through conscription. Children were evacuated, women joined the forces, worked in the fields and munitions factories. Everything was saved and recycled.
We built air raid shelters in our gardens.

We didn’t run away to another country.

People too old to fight became air raid wardens, police men, home guard, firemen etc. Women drove the ambulances and provided tea and sandwiches.
They trained to be nurses and left home for the first time.
We dug up our gardens and parks to grow food. We had our food rationed.

We didn’t run away. We fought for our country.

We learnt how to keep pigs and chickens. Delivered milk to towns.
We lived in the blackout for years, went to work in the dark.
We were bombed relentlessly week after week.
Many worked deep in the mines and in the fields.

    but we didn’t run away.

Our men were slaughtered, our women and children were slaughtered,
our ships were sunk, our cities decimated, our aeroplanes shot down,
In every town and village, there was someone who died.
We did this for 6 years

. . .and still we didn’t run away.
