Interestingly enough, in warfleet, when high charity is being discussed the book mentions that “the inner reaches of high charity became inaccessible millennia ago” it’s pointing right at the spine and could be referring to the fortress class not allowing entry and literally doing surveillance from inside the covenant capital

Interesting lore. As for the question is humanity being watched take a look at religion and culture you have gods and other beings such as the fae this means humanity is being watched likely by more than just one force. We know humanity is being watched in halo due to how bias speaks to us thru the terminals so to some degree in the halo universe humanity is watched and such or at least certain people of humanity.

The Fortress-class warships were always my favorite in Halo lore. The fact that they took on the rogue Halo rings when Mendicant Bias attacked Maethrillian is peak Halo lore. It would absolutely blow my mind to think that ONI found a Fortress-class vessel and hid it away from everyone. Knowing ONI, though…

Chief in particular is being watched and prepared for a particular role.
This reinforces my theory/idea that he in particular is the reclaimer and the individual who will take on the mantle of responsibility. There’s more to the theory, particularly Chief and Cortana’s connection to the domain.
Oumuamua could also be easily included in the lore as a derilict forerunner ship.
Using the fortress-class concept art on the wiki was a mistake, it makes no sense. Not only does it not match the descriptions in the books of them- but you literally showed the one High Charity was built around, which was the accurate one lmao

That would be strange in the larger timeline of Halo. In the heart of human held space, for over 500 years since humans were in space mining, exploring, colonizing, and only now is it coming to light? If ONI found it much sooner, why hasnt it advanced human tech like it did the covies? Having a fortress class vessel like that would surely have catapulted the UNSC's tech way before the Human-Covenant war.
