Three year Vaniversary! How is that even possible for a 74 year old solo female nomad? I’ve learned a lot about myself in 3 years of traveling full time in my Minivan Camper.
As for me…. the call of the road is irresistible. The long brown road before me, leading wherever I choose.
When someday I can travel no more, I agree with author Pat Conroy: “Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.”

I have my youngest set to graduate HS and am dreaming of renting out my bricks and sticks and traveling more when she graduates college. It’s good to have goals while still living in the moment. Thank you for continuing to inspire others. Happy third vaniversary!

Happy Vananvery, I love that you are free to wonder. I am stationary most of the year at a homebase near my Mother. She is in an appartment living independently in a senior community nearby. I rent a room in my homebase to a young health care professional and it pays most of the taxes, insurance and utilities. The young man happily helps with things I don't do like climb ladders to replace light bulbs and has even mowed when I am away. My homebase is an investment and when I am no longer needed here, I will likely sale it to one of my adult children and carry the financing so I get the tax benefit of not getting the capital gain all in one year. I have camping lots that will then become my homebase. I am just starting my 50 states journey and National Parks, Historic Sites, Monuments, ect. I can't wait to be able to travel most of the year, but am grateful for the time I have with my Mother who is in her 90s. Your videos have brought me so much joy and I discovered I can stream them in that big smart television in the living room while I get chores done, bonus. Thank you again for taking us along on your journey. I hope at some point our paths cross out on the road. Blessings.

Even though we have a very nice campervan, my wife and I would never want to live in it full time. The house is so much more comfortable, we can come and go as we please but to each their own. Good luck.
