The New World server merges are this December and probably into January and beyond. Hopefully this will make the game playable again for hundreds and even thousands of players who are stuck on completely dead servers with less than 100 concurrent players at any time.
So as for how to prepare for server merges in New World, there are a few opportunities as you prepare for the merges. This video will walk you through all the different things you can do to make money off of server merges. The lower population servers have much more opportunity than the higher population servers.

my server i make thousands sell wyrdwood…. i also want to stockpile ironwood planks so I can make daily glittering ebony. do you think it's smarter to sell everything and make the cash? or stockpile planks
Im curious as to how the faction problem will be fixed. Here on pluto the map is basically yellow. I wish they could add a buff for factions that have no territories so they have a chance to fight. Maybe %5 resilience and attack buff
Great axe being nerfed makes me not want to even play. Reap is all of the great axe builds sustain.
I would expect that they would have to include more than just two servers in a server merge. I could see several servers needed to be merged together at least.
Server merges aren't gonna do anything unless its a medium server going into a large or another medium. This isn't gonna bring people back who have quit
PvP will be affected the most after merger. At least on my server where everyone decided to go politics heavy. I hope there will be some new blood causing chaos.

I play on a small server and tho it is indeed more difficult as far selling,buying,requesting for help, and such it's kinda neat bc everyone knows everyone. governors from different factions coordinate together even if we're not the same color ect. Small world is more personable world in a way 🙂 but it is troublesome bc our server is controlled by one company who controls the trading post, invasions, and honestly just everything :/ they buy every piece of materials to make 600 gear score stuff and then only repost a few of em for sale for 300-500 gold thereby locking players out of certain gs equipment unless ur in their clan….less u farm it all urself of course 🙂

Glad I don't have a company that owns territory, would really tick me off to lose it all just because the server mine is being merged with has a few more players than the one I'm on.

I'm on a 50 pop server it took me about 2 weeks to max engineering farming everything with my two bare hands. I did appreciate my crafts afterwards tho.
I hope they allow server transfers before merge. I started playing the same day the disabled transfer tokens for new players. I also read they will not let ppl transfer after that world has been merged. Not sure how true that’ll be but im trying to join a friends world

there's anywhere from 8-180 players on my server depending on the day/time. lmao. ready for merge regardless of what happens to my coin.
Question: On my low pop server (not to low pop, maybe 200 people online at night), I got my watermark up to 600 and make good money selling 590+ gear. Is there a market for this on high pop?
In my current world set, on US West they will have to literally merge almost all the servers together to even get close to a full server
