Green Bay Packers CAN'T PROVE IT v Detroit Lions, Chargers v Chiefs & Cardinals v Seahawks Preview

The Detroit Lions took down the Green Bay Packers in a fantastic Thursday Night Football matchup and the Packers proved once again that their young mistakes will prevent them from being a true contender in the NFC. The Kansas City Chiefs host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday in the toughest challenge for the Chiefs in quite some time. The Arizona Cardinals host the Seattle Seahawks in a matchup that could decide the NFC West and the Seahawks are just a team you trust more at this point. Finally, the Chicago Bears will use the fired-head-coach bump to end the San Francisco 49ers once and for all while there are a ton of other matchups on the slate that present good teaser potential.

  1. Peter always comes across as arrogant, and at times like this one, clueless. I have no idea where his "officials are to blame" take came from. There are always some missed calls, and there were some on both sides, time to take the blinders off. Feel sorry for people that have to put up with him on Locked on Packers.

  2. So, what did we learn about the GB Packers? (1) They have still only beat 1 team this season above .500. (2) They are just a third-place team, but very competitive for a young group. (3) Detroit owns GB and has swept them 6 out of 7 games. (4) Detroit beat them last night with greeters from Walmart and some construction barrels off of I-94 on defense. (5) Jordan Love has thrown 50% of his TD's passes in the past two games to the Lions.

  3. I mean, on that last drive alone the Lions had a pretty ticky tack holding penalty because Lefleur wouldn't stop crying and the refs looked the other way when 55 piled on. The officiating was bad sure, it wasn't 1 sided.

  4. you know your team has arrived when you get the calls over the sacred Green Bay Packers- I can list 10 penalties against the Lions over the years that were absolutely bogus- -stop crying. I believe we had the equal number of penalties called.

  5. There were some bad no calls, but most of the calls that were made were solid, and if you add it all up in total it wasn't nearly one of the worst I've seen over the last couple weeks, let alone something egregious. I don't know what that Peter dude is talking about?!

  6. Wow that packers guy…how about the borderline DPI in the 1st half that turns a Lions INT into 1st and goal? GB are so used to getting all the calls that even officiating seems like the refs are against them. Welcome to the rest of the NFL green bay

  7. Bukowski is a lame partisan. If he were in ANY WAY honest, he'd simply say the officiating crew wasn't at their best, missing calls on BOTH sides. As a Loins fan, I must say he is plagiarizing much of what we had been saying when playing the FTPs for DECADES! Get over it chump. That's what he told us when we made wild claims like he's doing in this clip (around 6:10+).

  8. Your defense isn't good enough to stop the Lions when you had to. Also, if the officials were against you why did they put the ball just short of a first down like three times when Lions had the ball. They would have placed the ball so it was a first down. Watson getting the interference call where he ran into a Lion defender WAS a penalty even though he didn't mean to do it, it's still a penalty.

  9. They’re crying about a penalty, when at Green Bay they not only penalized Detroits best safety Brian Branch but they ejected the guy at the beginning of the game. Lions had their 3rd string Defense in and gave the Packers plenty of opportunities. Don’t be mad ya couldn’t get the Job done. Hats off to the Lions

  10. Pete and a lot of Packer fans I've heard and seen the past two days are just melting down because the Pack isn't the "golden child" anymore but simply another football team just like the other 31, and that the Pride is no longer a doormat, punching bag, laughingstock, or the easy circled Ws on their schedule.

We played with a Legion of Whom defense, and we won. The refs missed some calls and made some bad ones going both ways, and we won. They played good, we played just a little better, and we won. Don't like losing? Play better football and own your problems instead of pawning them off on everyone and everything else.

  11. Matt suck, he's not a Mi native nor is he a Lions fan. Whenever we have a tight looking game, he goes against us. Then we win and oh all is well. I like Locked On however I can't do the Lions because of the host

  12. Bottom line is the Lions dominated time of possession and number of plays. Detroit held the ball for 36:06 and ran 76 plays, compared to just 23:54 and 45 plays for Green Bay. To lose with these numbers would be a real conspiracy. Peter is deranged.

  13. I'm a lifelong WI Cheesehead. To Bukowski, you say you don't want to whine, and then you proceed to whine. Quit whining. We lost. Big deal. Move on and get better. I'm sick of our fans being such victims of so-called unfairness. We are erratic and the fanbase is typically unhinged. Chill. Have a beer and a brat. Just quit whining. It's so childish. And tell LaFleur to grow up. Set a better example.

  14. Lion's coach Campbell doesn't whine about the refs, and doesn't lose his cool – Packer's coach losing it arguing with a fan BEFORE the freaking game even started – spoke volumes.

  15. How about the refs marking St. Browns catch back 1/2 hard denying detroit a 1st down. Talk about a bad call. If that had been near the TD line they'd have called it a TD. Or how about the two face masks by GB while the guy they were tackling was on his way to the turf. Cry MOAR GB fans we enjoy your tears. You couldn't win against a defensive line and linebackers comprised of 4th stringers and practice squad mercenaries with 1 starter on the D-line and 1 starting linebacker.
