Just want to emphasize that you don't need to buy ALL of your dream fleet outright. You can do certain game loops that you like with a few of your fleet ships to get enough to purchase your other ships. This might end up saving you a lot of money considering you'll be doing these gameloops anyway.
The Orion is going to print money
My fleet consists of a single Zeus CL because, as much as I wish I could spend everything on this beautiful game, most of my money is going to student fees (who knew pilot training was expensive 😅)
i dont know if buy merchantman, odyssey, arrastra or orion…. i got arrastra->merchantman->odyssey and carrack->orion…
Playing and listening to your fleet craft theory in the background! 🤓 great stream!
i think the nautalis will be good and it reminds me of depth charge destroyers and probably one of the more flexibile small crew combat ships for big and small targets.
Only issue is it looks like a Walrus or something and i cant get over how odd it looks. Tired of the front glass on ships too. already have a hard enough time with the carrack and polaris front glass.
still cant see odyessey being the best exploration ship. It can be the best exploration fleet ship. or the best stroll around and do some stuff ship. The old space games i remember from years ago it was common for pirates ect that were bored to sit around jumps and bottlenecks and Even with all the bonuses the odyssey will have and namely right now the talk about it getting PDS turrets. i just have a hard time seeing the ship dealing with hostile areas well. This will also depend on how goods its capital armor and speed is because i would expect it to be lower than the polaris by some margin and that is already said to be light capital armor.
The carrack even with its smaller ship and functions has the transient jump point specialty. which until they say capital ships can use to me its like the magic school bus. You roll up to the jumppoint scan it and teleport to a new world explore it and if danger shows up you pop back through the jump point or find short cuts through hostile spaces.
Odyssey i just see being a massive target if it is rolling through main jump points and if you get caught out in space by someone you have no where to go but back to that main jump point. can already see how expensive repairs can be for a polaris. odyssey might be less but i hope its fast.
Needs to be like the enterprise a ship that can do some damage but run when it needs too. but its not built to deal with warships or hostile space like vandul or whatever else is out there.
Sad i had 3 reclaimers temp and only got 1 best in show skin. was hoping for extra.
polaris i just never liked, got on it and played around and being inside wasnt enjoyable either. mostly it was the super loud engines all the time ect and the ship doesnt feel like it has much going on at times.
That being said it seems like a pritty needed ship for small orgs for fleet defense. its a wall hangar that keeps people honest. For me its ment to be used with other support ships like the perseus tho.
perseus and the polaris both cover each others weak points and help each other hit up more so than a hammerhead.
Your videos have helped me learn about the CCU game, but I intend to use the knowledge as little as possible. I want to actually have something to work towards when the game is out. For now, I am supporting the development by subscribing and occasional small purchases.
endeavor originally i really wanted a few to make a space city. Then i decided to focus more on ground support and realized that if it ever became endanger i couldnt defend it. So if it was to stay it would need to be parked safely somewhere far away from being seen. Still think it will be a great ship tho. Mostly wanted that Mobile Hospital but if base building allows us to build T1 beds on a planet im more than willing to build hospitals on the ground to stay away from javalins
solid advice again
pioneer almost the only ship that got me to get rid of the merchantman. But the its 50/50 on if its worth it for me or not. main issue is defending it and the potential for the pioneer to give away your position why its refining.
Right now unless only extra large building can build the ships i need for replacing my fleet i would prefer to just use smaller ground vehicles that can be carried and hidden on planets. Very hard to not get a pioneer tho. it fits well with what i wanted.
other thing is i figured some areas on a planet a pioneer might not be able to fit on and smaller ground builders might be able to drive into a valley for instance and harvest materials.
Missed the f7a event as well 😢
Needed this video, still only have my starter and the only reason is because I don’t want to buy a ship I don’t need or isn’t useful. Thanks for sharing 🔥
Dont forget the Hull E isnt only for moving 100K scu cargo. It is marked as most modular ship in Star Citizen whicb means it will do way more then just move cargo. Maybe hanger modules to move smaller ships. Maybe defense turret modules to defend fleet, cargo and other nasty surprises. Read the orginal CIG description
A Perseus! Dude you spoil us! Good content, great appreciation, awesome content creator!
What pack currently contains the Cyclone MT please?
Great video as always man! I have a 600, an Aquila, a Carrack and an Odyssey, because I love all of them.
I already picked the Endeavor CCU and I’m waiting on it for the exploration and research game loops to come to life.
I’m undecided if I should own an arrastra or a reclaimer as my main money maker though. I plan to earn everything else in game with it.
I might also end up picking a BMM though, as it’s going to be one of the hardest ships to earn in game. I already have a CCU to it, but I plan to wait until it’s flyable to apply it. It’s not gonna be a soloable ship 😅
I stopped spending mpney on ships after hitting 1200 dollars spent as I realised that I was paying to limit the motivation to actually play the game. Buy a huge fleet… and you remove 70% of the motivation to play the game itself.
Will be interesting to see this just before v1.0

It's amusing to watch others flex at spending tens of thousands on pixels with buying advice based on complete assumptions though. 😂
I see those Signal flags 😮
The explanations and review of current ship info and sharing that is very helpful.
Pretty stressful to try to plan out a good fleet if you’re really into this. Like – do I need big ships if someone else has them and they will NEED crew for them?
I think owning these larger ships implies you want to lead groups or I don’t see it working. Lot of unknowns on drones and NPCs for labor. Info could be out there but it’s so hard for people who don’t study this games progress to even have a clue. Thanks for trying to fill in the gaps!
I appreciate the fleet theory crafting. Please do more of these!
Keep up the great work man! Was awesome to see ya at citizencon this year! 😁
Love your content though i also already got all the ships i need. What i hope to get in the future is starter-large crafting/base building ships for when i dont feel like taking the chonky nomad for a spin.
The valkyrie has been really sweet with a nursa rover inside for distribution center merc work ❤
I hope for more ground industrial and cargo vehicles with more specialized roles.
Also mirai guardian and the rumored misc fortune is on my buy list.
Impressive fleet. Currently i have settled on f7a mk2, salvage ship, size 0 ship and big bigger daily driver/cargo ship (something between cutlass black and starlancer max)
what? No Javelin? 😉
Nice fleet, and really on point on the advice part. Personally, i almost immediately added a pledge – literally 24 hours after the game package because it turned out my Mustangs entry tube was certain death back then – and bought my first Avenger. Still the best decision i ever made in SC. That lasted me for a long time, but back then i also decided i would only pledge for a solid base to save myself the first stages of grinding for pocket change. And most importantly, save achieving all the endgame stuff for the full release. Some years and several concierge levels later i can only agree. I could have gotten away with far less money, even counting a subscription or skin here and there as small contribution to the project.
Since i can enjoy mining, all i really need is the combo of my Prospector and Freelancer Max for income and my Avenger for drifting around and doing whatever im in the mood for. That turned out to be my style. In a second tier of importance, i can make a case for my Sabre and bringing a Ranger in my Avenger. and those roughly 400scu of the Hull B and Starlancer are in my opinion the perfect amount for a casual solo trading run or going small crew in between stuff once i step it up a level, so i will keep those around. Plus for future planning i definetly will add at least one or two of these base builder grav trolleys to the must-have roster to have LTI on them, but that is it to cover me for the stuff i want to have secured and not get through an org. Everything else in my hangar is honestly just for fun, my bad habit of collecting starter and allrounder ships or shortcuts to specializations (another thumbs up for being a fellow Apollo Medivac and Vulcan owner).
Time stamps would have been thoughtfully considerate for viewers here. ❤
