So this is a weird one for me. This is my least favorite harry potter movie. Not because its bad but because Prisoner of Azkaban was probably the best book of HP series. It has by far the most lore giving us information outside of school and harry parents etc. But so much of it is cut that the movie feels very choppy to me. Prof Lupin helped make Mauraders Map along side with Harry's dad and friends. Sirius and Pete and all their friend group were shape shifters because Lupin was a werewolf. They changed into animals to sneak out on full moons to be with their friend. Which is extremely illegal and difficult to pull off especially as kids. They used whomping willow tree as hideout because it scared everyone else away because it was too dangerous to be around. They gave themselves nicknames all relating to animal they changed into, which is mention when harry reads random names to Snape on map. Harry's Patronus spell is a stag which also happens to be animal James Potter turned into. There is so much cool and fun lore that is completely left out of this movie sadly. The 2 movies before are not as fun but they capture all the essentials that you pretty much don't have to read books and wouldn't feel like your missing anything. This one is exact opposite that to truly appreciate it story would rec reading the book. The rest of movies do a pretty good job just this one stands out the most as missing important information that does come back in books and movies.
Sirius can just dip in to his family's fortune. The Blacks are wealthy. Don't forget Harry is loaded, too.
The actor of dumbledore has died irl after the show ended
I am going to something controversial. I am convinced that J. K. Rowling has not properly ended her book. There are far too many unresolved plot elements, contradictions. The entire 5th book is without proper explanation
Azkaban wasn’t close to being my favorite book in the series but it’s my favorite of the movies. Helps that they cast Gary Oldman as Sirius. He’s my favorite actor and who I imagined as Sirius when I read the books. I was thrilled when they announced he was cast.
I don’t have too much Potter memorabilia, but the ones I have are pretty good. I have the sword of Godric Gryffindor and the Elder wand (you’ll find out what that is eventually).

Sirius Black doesn’t need a job . He is old money and disgustingly rich. The broom that he gives Harry at the end is the equivalent of a Ferrari. It’s so ridiculously expensive, especially to give to a child.
In the book, Hermione’s ( Crookshanks) cat actually helps Sirius purchase the broom for Harry. And her cat does try to murder Ron’s rat because she knows it’s Peter Pettigrew. Her in serious are kind of friends. They can communicate because her cat has human like intelligence and Sirius Can communicate with her when he’s an animal

If you guys want some extra homework, theres a fan fiction audiobook on youtube called "the muraders plan" where Harry ends up taking his place as Lord Potter head of the ancient and noble house of Potter and his seat in the wizard house of Lords. Its a different timeline that starts at the end of this movie.
Something the movies never tell us that Lupin James Sirius and Peter created the map. Mooney is Lupin. Padfoot is Sirius prongs is James and wormtale is Peter.
If you listen carefully you will hear ticking in the background like a clock. They really did time travel great in this movie and not break the multiverse

The spell to reveal the marauders map is "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" and to conceal the map you say "Mischief managed"
The spell that froze the womping willow was "Immobulus" which Hermione used in the Chamber of Secrets (in the scene in Lockhart's first class, the one with the pixies) so she does know that spell

It becomes even more profound when you realize that the reason Harry could cast that strong of a Patronus is because he finally had a happy memory. His thoughts of what it would be like to live with Sirius instead of the Dursleys.
I will not disagree with your opinion. I just want to say it is the same with a lot of movies. If you like it, you should read the books and be even more amazed.

You will notice as the movies go on, that Harry has a lot of positive male role models to look after him. I read somewhere that the author, JK Rollings didn't have a great relationship with her father, which is why you see all the male characters caring for Harry. It is what happens isn't it you tend to write from your own experiences along with research. He got an owl because Hagrid bought it for him for his birthday.
