Liberal MP Julian Leeser mourns the “saddest day in the history of the Jewish community” for Australia following a firebombing attack on a synagogue in Melbourne.
A Melbourne synagogue has been left with significant damage after a fire ripped the building in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Friday morning.
“This is a country that has been welcoming to Jewish Australians since the time of the First Fleet,” Mr Leeser said.
“We have never faced anything like this before and it is the culmination of the terrible antisemitism that has gone on; antisemitism that’s been ignored.”

Who gave the government permission to insult our Jewish community who by their conduct have been excellent citizens, not racist, biased and violent terrorists. We all know Albo is going at the next election but it saddens me that he has brought into disrepute the Labor movement. His great non-racist predecessors wanted nothing more than a united Australia and now in one term Albo has undone all the good. So much for multiculturism.
