Honestly the update is just going to force low lv players against Krakens left and right. Like you showed, the top players are just facing each other over and over again. But having more people climb up, it's literally just feeding the krakens more new easily defeatable players. I'm in Gold 3, and since then. I have been paired against people that are 700 points and above me constantly. Heck I'm getting paired against the top teams in the game!
The main problem now is that there are SOO many whales and krakens, the game has become so unbalanced. To the point where people hate doing PvP in any way. I will admits winning a single Live Arena in the missions had made Tag easier for me now that I don't have to worry about "winning against a stronger team" in it and stuff. But the rest of my clan pretty much lose all their battles in Live. They absolutely hate it because they are getting paired against these krakens.
pvp balancing in RSL is just a complete failure and because plarium is not capable of balancing dmg and debuffers they introduced stoneskin and polymorph, making it even worse and an absolute clownfiesta imo
I personally hate Live Arena. Being forced to win a battle daily is a pain. I recently warmed up to Classic Arena and I find myself learning more about my champs as well as those I go up against. If I were able to suggest how to do match making I’d base it on the players great hall. I haven’t played for a year yet and I know that when I go up against players who’ve played for a long time I lose because their great hall is done. It doesn’t matter if I have 4 well built Mythicals. There are players who jump into the game thinking they can buy wins. It works until you hit that wall, and realize you’re missing a boatload of stats longtime players have accumulated over time.
It still blows my mind how Raid refuses to hire this man, constantly coming up with good ideas and knowledge how to fix stuff immediately
One thing i would love to see in arena and siege; ability to rewatch your matches and share them with clanmates or download them so you can share them on discord
reducing the live arena decay reallypissed me off. I don't want to get out of silver. sometimes I wouldn't play L.A. for days just to decay some. I'm not staying low to farm noobs, I just do L.A. for the various missions working on marius and maybe a few more here and there to put a few medals in my hydra area bonus. I don't have the roster to play in gold. The points we lose from not playing and losing needs to go backup.
I dont care seasons. Live = pick team, click auto, go watch Youtube. repeat. Silver problem? Go grind. But dont have energy, buy gems or packs. But dont have money. Ooo poor Pleb.
So how will this affect Quintus, if I cant get up to Gold 3 in the season time frame I just never get him?
Plarium is more interested in bringing new crap content than fixing their game
They should use the point system of classic but the reset should set everyone back to gold 1, first week is rough but afterwards it balances out. Its how HH: Legions did it and found it quite decent.
So I am less than 50 points from getting the last Quintus frags, really great idea to drop players close to getting him back down WTF
I agree to some to add Platinum, since if we can't rank down from gold, those who have weaker champion will be a punching bag to those stronger players, it benefits them than the rest since it'll be a lot harder than before
It would be wonderful if they were going to implement meta changing seasons, but unfortunately I just really doubt that is what they will do (and they have the ability! Gold LA has restriction capabilities (choosing a unique champ), they have restrictions already coded for Siege). I think they are far more likely to just do platinum reset style seasons.

This sounds like you are brainstorming how to make LA more toxic. Restrictions on champions is the games worst feature.
They should add diminishing returns, at least for PvP to fix Armanz "somewhat". Shouldn't be able to solo a team by controlling the whole fight with CC.
I like most of the things you mentioned except for the "rank reset", because it'll mess up the rewards progression for those (like myself) who are still climbing, more specifically for Quintus.
I want to be the first person in my clan to get him. Usually if I get a certain champion first, it motivates my clan to push for it. Right now I'm the only person doing it.
can we sort gear by level yet? love making a bunch of lvl15 waiting for artifact events – then not being able to find it
they cant reset your progress in LA – that would mean anyone who does not have Quintus yet will almost be prevented from EVER getting him
some of the content in this game is so undercooked after been in the game for years its almost laughable

Forced live arena is worse. I do 1 win and done.. 😂 dont care of book or dusts. but I do dailies, all champ training, demon lord basically all other ways to get book. Live arena is waste of time 😢

Awful idea , that would mean rubuilding teams each month. Just leave it as broken as it is, dont need to make it worse.
