The Quest for Eldorado – Historical Curiosities

The legend of El Dorado, a mythical city rich in gold, attracted explorers to South America. Originating with the Muisca people in Colombia, El Dorado was linked to a ritual at Lake Guatavita. Conquistadors such as Gonzalo Pizarro and Francisco de Orellana faced hardships in the Amazon, and Walter Raleigh, under orders from Queen Elizabeth I, explored the Orinoco River. Although it was never found, El Dorado remains a symbol of wealth and mystery.

  1. El Dorado or Paititi (indigeous dialect and most videos are with this name) is located in Peru, search videos in spanish and you will find the β€œlocation”. Looks for videos of Babytrujillo or Thierry Jamin, both of those explorer says that they reached to the ancient city. In addition, in google maps type β€œEl Dorado?” lit like that πŸ˜‰
