  1. There’s no right or wrong way to eat your leftovers in my opinion. That leftover meat can be used on your traditional sandwiches or in a compilation sandwich like this. I like eating the Thanksgiving side items for days because those are my favorites, but if I’m going to eat turkey leftovers, I make turkey salad sandwiches on toasted bread.

  2. This made me so happy…I did an early thanksgiving dinner at about 1 o'clock and by 4 o'clock we were making leftover sandwiches…so fun…Carol and Recky you did it all perfectly…the stress of all that cooking is worth it…such a challenge for one day and so great to see it… Thank you both 😊

  3. In addition to just repeating Thanksgiving dinner and making sandwiches, we also made turkey soup and turkey pot pie this year with our leftovers. Some years I make turkey tetrazzini, turkey a la king, turkey enchilada casserole, and white turkey chili. And when my son-in-law smokes a turkey breast, I take the leftovers and make a turkey gumbo. Can't make all of these every year – I run out of turkey!

  5. Potatoes are extremely optional in a sandwich. The "sauce" ( gravy ) is absolutely not edible cold. But its your sandwich .. put whatever you like….it's just leftovers enjoy them however you like.

  6. Think of it this way, "What would you put together on the fork to make the perfect bite?" That's what makes a great Leftovers Sandwich. Everyone is the chef of their own sandwich and dependent on the ingredients left over. It's always disappointing when there is no stuffing. Lol. Keep being amazing!

  7. My favorite way to use leftovers is a Monte Cristo sandwich because we often have ham as well, if you don’t know what it is it’s ham, turkey, Swiss, dipped in egg and milk and fried like French toast, and it’s served with jam, maple syrup or cranberry sauce.

  9. I've never tried a Leftover Spaghetti Sandwich because I'm not the biggest fan of cooked tomatoes. Still, since Garlic Bread is a must-have [in my opinion] with American Spaghetti, I don't see why a hamburger-bun style of bread, toasted with garlic butter with added Parmesan/Romano/cheese-of-choice wherever they chose, wouldn't make quite the sandwich for a Pasta Bolognese fan. Carbs and Fats, ain't they great!? LOL. Tasty? You'll only know if you try… Keep being inquisitive. ❀

  10. I love Thanksgiving left over sandwiches..
Turkey slices.. We have so much left over slice turkey.. An take a portion to make a turkey spread.. ground the sliced cooked turkey add mayo.. and a little ranch dressing, diced onions boiled eggs.. optional celery.. etc.. left over
Meat loaf for meatloaf sandwiches.. are good.. I guess you could add mash potatoes..to the meatloaf.. made to many Deviled eggs.. this is nearly impossible to do.. mash the Deviled eggs.. add more mayo.. salt pepper.. diced onion.. celery for egg salad sandwiches.. leftover pot roast.. make a pot roast sandwich… or make a beef stroganoff… make a beef stroganoff sandwich.. sandwich varieties can be endless..
    Tuna sandwiches..
Drain can tuna… add mayonnaise.. diced onion.. celery.. finely diced boiled egg.. if I have apples.. some times I add diced peeled apples to my tuna sandwich.
    Chili dogs…
Mustard.. chili.. top with diced onion.. Frito corn chips.. grated cheese.. it makes the chili dog crunchy for added texture..
    Boneless fish sandwich…
Fish with a tater sauce. Which is mayo.. small amount of sweet relish… a small amount of lemon juice.. to me mayo is a little salty already.. if you don't find it salty add a pinch of salt.. pepper.. top it with a slice of cheese..
Meatball sandwich… usually made with a hoagie roll.. lettuce I use shredded lettuce fresh spinach leaves.. onion.. tomato slices.. cheese.. etc.. if you want the bread toasted.. add the meatballs and cheese in the hoagie roll toast in the oven on broil to toast the bread and melt the cheese then add vegetables of choice and your favorite dressing or sauce.

  11. The bit where you put the whole dinner in a sandwich is a Friends thing (90s TV show?) It was meant as a joke. Good job of acting. Cold mash in a sandwich … Ach, ach.
Turkey Sandwich… Bread with Mayo both side. Lightly salt both sides. Turkey is a bland meat and needs some help. I prefer a turkey sandwich fairly simple. Smoked Turkey can take more flavors, yes mustard. Cheese and some salad if you wish. Even a piece of bacon (stripey bacon). Tomato. Cranberry on the side as a palate cleanser.
My favorite. Bread. Heat up the gravy with turkey. Generously apply to bread. Add some dressing/stuffing on top. Generously pour on more gravy. Mash potato on the side with more gravy or sweet potatoes, please. Cranberry on the side as a palate cleanser. Knife and fork.
Then snuffle around and try to find some leftover pie. And some Baileys Creme, or a tot of rum, in hot tea.
I haven't had a drink since last Christmas but had some Baileys this Thanksgiving and it was delicious, and will touch the Nog on Christmas.
