You guys complain about favoritism to Rivian, but have blinders on when the exact same thing happens to Tesla.
As for being able to buy out your car at end of lease now, I'm thinking its because cybercab will be here soon and they wont need all the off lease vehicles for the taxi fleet because of cybercab production.

HW3 is being left behind. So will Tesla make good on my $10,000 investment in FSD and upgrade my Model Y? Been Beta testing for Tesla since 2019 and it been an adventure to say the least. So, will all of us Beta testers get upgraded to AI4? Musk could pay for it from his extraordinary wealth. It would be a rounding error for him.
The point of the subsidies is not to endlessly pay for EVs for people. It’s to create a market for EVs and help manufacturers defray the large upfront costs associated with transitioning and ramping. Are we supposed to be paying $7500/EV when there’s 50M on the roads?
Tesla doesn’t need the tax credit to stay in business or sell cars, so they shouldn’t get one. The initial 500k cap from the fed credit per manufacturer was too low, but the idea was correct. Newsom is right to exclude Tesla from any state level subsidy, it would be just handing money to rich people to buy EVs not helping to foster a competitive market for EVs to not exclude them.

Does anyone out there have this problem with full self driving? My Tesla model Y well for no reason at all dart left into another lane. This has happened to me seven times so far. And it’s freaking me out. It’s done it on two lane and four lane roads.

My small town of Sedona Az is getting EV friendly by having a day where people can drive some 13 cars at a location in town, Ask questions and just ride in the cars.

6:00: WtF guys? The whole point of the EV credits, and gov subsidies for new tech in general, is to help companies get to profitable production. It makes perfect sense to exclude Tesla, as they have achieved the goal. And Newsome may be biased against Elon, I don’t know, I’m not paying attention to him, but this clip you showed as “evidence” was literally just him saying that CA is business-friendly, and Tesla being an example of that; nothing negative about Elon at all… Have you totally lost objectivity?
Also very dumb for Elon to say Tesla succeeded in spite of the gov, when they got so much support from both toes of EV credits, plus a loan. Biden’s BS doesn’t erase that.
13:50: This is SUPER exciting!! 😃 We’re all waiting for the first big game that’s really driven by modern AI and Elon could pour as much money into his studio as needed and he has never made a company that didn’t excel. I really hope he does this, and soon.

The former is a bad sign for HW3 and the latter… I don’t know what to make of it. Maybe they just don’t want to deal with Maintenance and operation of robotaxis? if i recall correctly, they are aiming for V15 to be robotaxi level, therefore from v15 u should be able to sleep, game or do anything else you want in a car.
there are cars with rear wheel steering, e.g. Porsche 911 GT3, and dozen more, also drive by wire was introduced by Infinity Q50, Tesla does a lot of innovation but not all of it 😉
The Cybertruck in Zurich belongs to the company of a guy in Switzerland who bought it in the US and had it shipped to Europe. He is now working towards having it certified in Switzerland. Its a Foundation series and he gets all software updated incl. FSD. He cannot use FSD though, since the navigation maps are the US ones. He made a presentation for us at the TOCH (Tesla Owners Helvetia) Club. There are Youtube videos showing it driving in Swiss mountain passes: the 4-wheel steering is fabulous there.
