Even as I enjoy Black Ops 6 Zombies, there’s a lot that just makes it feel different, and I’d even say not like CoD Zombies. But Treyarch didn’t forget how to make classic zombies, they chose to leave it behind.

I don't want to ruin Black Ops 6 for the people that like it. Just give me Classic Mode PLEASE.
17:33 Hit the nail on the hammer my friend
21:25 They don't want the newer player base to know what it was like, to know that they did more for the players back then instead of focusing on corporate greed. Why do you think all the older CODs are unsafe to play online without an external client, and still cost almost as much as BO6? They're trying to sway people away from playing the older CODs. They want people to forget.
You can't miss what you never had.
Don't have to camp to have high rounds 😂 No, youre not going to train on 70 like you could in BO1, but you can still have a mobile strat. I done 131 solo on Terminus the other day and never stopped moving. I use some of the same techniques that I've always used in zombies. And I've played the mode since WAW and seriously since BO1. My zombies partner and I were top 25 in the world for rounds cleared in Call Of The Dead, Ascension, Moon, ShangriLa, Mob Of The Dead…etc etc I was one of the first people to ever "train" a zombie and make it to high rounds using that technique. Liberty Falls is laughably easy, but Terminus was definitely a challenge. If reminds me of old school zombies more than anything has in over a decade.
I agree that in Black Ops 6, the zombies are easy on early rounds. To combat this, I always like having the Rampage Inducer because it forces me to be on the move and focus on my positioning.
Treyarch are doing just fine imo. They cant go back to old zombies because you cant keep making the same stuff over and over because we'd get tired of it. The only problem I have with bo6 is the stupid point system. And now my absolute unreal fantasy would be for victis to come back from the dark aether and have some sort of black ops 3 movement with them, or a classic zombies gamemode with remastered maps. And the cherry on top: custom maps. Again, this is very far from reality. Is it what I got? No. Am I gonna piss on the game because my unrealistic expectations didn't match the reality? No
This new direction is really dissapointing. The fact that instead of going down after 3 or 5 hits and its now around 10 hits completely changes the way it plays.
Just referencing the beginning of the video, this a completely different team than the ones who worked on WaW-bo3 zombies. The team wasn’t even consistent back then either. This a new team who will probably never go back to old zombies and will continue going in a new direction
Well it isn't exactly classic zombies (as I'm used to in bo2 and 3), but so far I think it's fun enough to play it casually after finishing the easter egg steps
I still think BO3 was peak zombies. I wish we could have gotten chronicles 2 for 3 so that we would always have those updated but faithful maps to return to
George is carrying a stage light from a film set. That is peak design right there lmao
One big point I don't see a lot of people making is the fact the most of the guys at Treyarch that worked on WAW throughout BO4 have left. Most notably Blundell, Daniel Cheng and Ken Harsha. Add that to the warzonification effect and it's not hard to see how unlikely it is for zombies to be truly great again. And all of this is coming from someone who enjoys both CW and BO6. Awesome analysis btw =)
Zombies would be better if the community would stop complaining every single time they feel the need to complain about every little detail they dont like because 'it doesnt feel like old Zombies guys!'. Congrats, old zombies was around a time we had Nazi's in CoD….. those days are long gone, BO1 is long gone, BO2-BO4 are long gone. Cold War Zombies wasnt bad it was just boring, but BO6 has a much better zombies zombies and the maps are actually enjoyable. But every single zombies youtuber just copy and pastes the same videos about the same complaints. Hell, another youtuber is complaining about the MP as if the MP hasnt been CoD's most pathetic point since CoD4…. be real guys
What makes the nostalgia. Is something not being perfect. But up till they start adding. To game. Like skins.
People do not want perfect game. But. Transit was a Foggy map due to its 360 compatibility .
idk why but everybody talking bo6's difficulty and progression are acting like there's no rampge inducer in this game , and honestly if u good at zombies and don't make use of this great feature ur missing a lot
Really liking the direction this channel has taken with your uploads in the past couple months. The videos feel very polished and are super high quality. Great work man, keep it up 💯
I would say I’m against armor, but with the up in zombie hit aggression and the lengthening of the range they can hit you at, I think it’s totally necessary
I think the biggest hit to the classic zombies feel (including a lot of the fun) is how little you have to worry about your loadout. Point per kill means every gun is a point gun. Ammo boxes are everywhere so you don’t even have to consider how much stock ammo you can hold on any weapon. Picking your loadout on startup means you never have to search for a wall buy or gamble the box for your favorite weapon. Wonder weapons don’t even feel special anymore when you can triple pap your starter gun and make it shoot lightning or fire or ice or void or turn zombies into your own minions.
This is clearly why there’s such a problem with artificial difficulty. Using your guns wisely and weighing out chance from the box or going for a consistent wall buy where you can buy ammo from, or which guns would be your point gun which did low damage but had a lot of bullets and your damage gun were major decisions that could only be developed through practice of any specific map. They ripped away all strategy from the game so difficulty scaling sidesteps strategy entirely. You go in with your one gun your grinding a camo on and kill stuff the same way you do with every gun, take a total of 4 minutes to open up the whole map, max upgrade your one gun then exfil. Repeat. All while never having bought a wall gun or mystery box cause, y’know, I’m trying to grind camos. Just remove the starting loadouts and a lot of the other issues wouldn’t be that bad anyways but they’re currently on full display.
tl;dr the game feels bad cause you never ever have to swap out your starting gun
I understand the complaints and the gripes about bo6 but really I couldn’t care less. Every black ops has had its own issues, I have a shit ton of fun playing every single one, and this is no different. At the end of the day if they make a game that is fun I’ll play it. Bo4 failed that so I didn’t play zombies after launch, I didn’t touch vanguard at all, Cold War was fine but it’s not something I’m gonna go back to, bo6 is just pure fun.
I miss when it was called nazi zombies:(
Bo6 zombies was my first cod since waw but i liked it..
The only thing that disappointed me was that people said that they would bring back og zombies then it wasn't true 🙁
The problem is exfil
I don't understand why there's such heavy emphasis on criticizing Bo6 for being an arcade shooter when CoD Zombies has been an arcade shooter since WaW.
20:50 this is just wrong, most people i see enjoying bo6 have played since the launch of WaW and stopped playing at BO3. there is nothing wrong with the mode changing
I’ve seen some say that this is as good as bo3 zombies, I’ve seen others say that it’s complete trash, I think that the bar has fallen so low that people are willing to say it’s the best in years because of how disappointing the past few years have been for zombies, I’m somewhere in the middle where I don’t think that it is completely awful but not really the peak like bo3, it’s somewhere in the middle of just kinda mid, I hope that it gets better with the next map and Knocks’s my socks off like derizen draka did, but that might be too high of expectations to meet for me honestly
I didn't start playing zombies until after Bo4 released although I started with Bo3, and I'm terrible at the old games. I rarely get past round 25, and when I do I die in the 30s, but I enjoyed it. I liked having to get to 30 and then working for a slightly higher round PB being my goal.
Because I don't like doing Easter Eggs, playing Bo2 and Bo3 is all about beating my PB, although it's not insanely high, I didn't care because it was fun and difficult. (I could never go higher anyways because I mostly avoid using WWs lol)
I love playing CW and Bo6, they're incredibly fun and satisfying games, and are my favorites to turn on and mindlessly watch something in the background, but they aren't goal fulfilling. I got to 200 in CW with little to no effort and only really did it because I had nothing else going on that day. In Bo6 I was working towards round 100 for the calling card but failed in the 60s, but it wasn't fun and I haven't really attempted it since. Every single game in Bo6 I exfil on round 31, because playing above that is tedious and a waste of time, I don't even feel accomplished for getting to 31 like I used to, and I wouldn't feel accomplished even getting to 100 because it's more of a time sync than it is an achievement.
I'm fine with the direction CW and Bo6 took, because the games are incredibly fun, and tbh I love the camo grind, and I am the target audience when it comes to the dopamine release. They just need to tone down the miniboss spam and find another way of making the game difficult (Scorestreaks are definitely the biggest issue for player strength imo.)
I personally enjoy forcing the game to be similar to at least Bo3/4. I spawn in with the 9mm Pistol with no attachments, don't allow myself to build scorestreaks or equipment, only allow myself to buy 4 perks (But I'm allowed to get more from SAM Trial rewards), and I only use augments that feel like they fit in the classic games (Turtle Shell Jugg. Dying Wish QR, and Electric Cherry EP, are my favorites to equip because of the old perks being combined together)
Guess what
This isnt world at war
If you hate the new stuff go back and play the old stuff and stfu
the old zombies games i cant get myself into anymore… classic zombies imo now kinda sucks an i try to get back into it but i last like 8 rounds before going back to bo6 kinda happy its how it is now
if i die on bo6 i feel like i wanna go again its the best zombies ive played like i enjoyed bo3 and bo2 but bo6 and cw i love
