I know the magic of cinema has come a long way since the 80’s – but holy hell, the david lynch version is so sloppy n cringe. that was clearly a director decision – not saying you could’ve gotten away with DV’s version back then but Lynch coulda been more sophisticated and serious about his version, no wonder he distanced himself from it
