Teaching Arena Zoomers About Hard Locks and Chalice | Against the Odds | Historic MTG Gameplay

Back in the early days of Magic cards that made it so you couldn’t play the game – Stasis, Blood Moon, Winter Orb – were plentiful, but for the last decade or two of Magic Wizards has mostly stopped printing the cards, but thanks to the new Anthology we’ve got two new locks on MTG Arena! What are the odds of teaching some Arena zoomers what it’s like to NOT be able to play Magic with Chalice of the Void and two different hard locks? Let’s find out!

Today’s video is brought to you by Card Kingdom. You can pick up some MTG cards (and help support the show) at https://www.cardkingdom.com/mtggoldfish

  1. I like the punked play chalice on one into his own solemnity both players don't read but Seth Omega minded them into thinking the chalice would have counters so he village rites regardless. This video was cathartic.

  2. so he's not only the most annoying streamer ever, he's also the most annoying breed of magic player ever- the gate keeper to tilt. no thanks. as if the brews weren't weak enough, i will no longer support your toxic af channel. playing locks because it's meta viable is one thing. playing locks because you enjoy taking the fun out of the game for others is another entirely.

  3. "Against the Odds" But not really. It's the same G/W enchantress deck that has existed in the meta since MH2. Presented to you by the most annoying and condescending voice in Magic's pop culture repeating the same damn joke ad infinitum.

Honestly, Saff's not a great player, an original deckbuilder, or a particularly good content creator :/
