  1. I left the game because the combat felt lacking. There was little depth to it, and when I fought pve mobs it was just braindead combat.

Later on, I found out the developers removed the stagger mechanic from the game, and it all made sense to me now, the devs have no idea of what they’re doing. This is what was lacking. So I left haha

Edit: honestly, if the combat had stagger or any type of depth to it, I would’ve keep playing until they added new content. But I just can’t stand such depthless combat

  2. Why nobody talks about cross realm instances? Wow did it really nicely and it works great. Outpost Rush cross realm would solve the queue issue? I dunno but…

Oh and how about cross realm Group Find dor DGs?

Congrats on your videos bro. I got back to my musket because of you. BTW the glasscannon build you recommend is The Bomb! Sooooo much fun.

I am not a tech guy so if crossrealm is impossible in this game, just ignore my comment.

  3. another great video, some fantastic ideas i whole heartedly agree with, It's so annoying to see an amazing game and know its not fullfilling its potential. I feel they need to make some huge announcements, release a road map before it is too late. I have friends dropping back to wow, going onto FFXIV or Guild Wars 2 for their mmo fix

  4. Dude, don't you realize that this game is already dead? You keep talking about what they should add but they can't even fix what the game released with. After multiple attempts/patches!

And I hate to say this because I love the bones of the game and I really wanted it to succeed.

The fact of the matter is is that they can't fix things. They're just inept. Full stop. They've proven it over and over.

So do you have another game you're eyeing?

  5. I’d like to see the settlements benefit the controlling faction based on activity in the area, and then individual companies can control a given area like a mine, forest, etc.

Totally agree on the amazing foundation, but they need to move the best items to purely crafted, given the depth of the crafting system.

  6. They really and I mean really need to make PVE endgame content. PVP Arenas but weapons should be balanced otherwise all you would see is GA and Hammer…. But to be honest can't see myself playing this game after Lost ark is released. That game has tons of PVE content and pvp is super fun.

  7. PVE was never part of their original plan.
All the PVE content that are seen in NWorld was created in less then 2 years, NWorld was original a survival PVP game.

To be fair all those games you have mentioned are games that are out for years.
I played star wars on release day, PVP was horrid, lag was crazy, server issues, boring.
The PVE dungeon content was zzz, not to mention about the bugs, you spend all the time to reach the last boss n it bugs out.
Example..FF14, the base game on release only had one raid…yes one…no PVP nothing, all my friends got bored and stopped playing.

New World was never expected to have so many players at launch, the devs spend the release window fixing load/capacity issue and working on server transfers when the game was only released for a month…my guess that threw them off course.

I hope they can iron out the current issues and go back to their road map on what they had planned for NWorld.

Warhammer Online had a very rewarding PVP system, you can get unique tokens by killing players in open world that let you exchange for unique gears, the higher PVP rank the player killed they drop higher lvl tokens
Warhammer also have PVE dungeons that can be invaded by enemy players that will try to stop you from finishing the dungeon.

Even so From my experience with PVP centric MMOs eg Darkage of Camelot, Warhammer Online, GW2, people will get burnout doing it, they need a balance of PVE n PVP content…it is hard but hopefully they can pull it off.

  8. I kept saying same thing from the start but my guild said that Wad wrong..
I think they built this game on a dead engine..they screwed up somewhere at a fundamental level..
You can clearly see when they try to fix one thing and break 5 in the process..
I got almost every skill 200..craft ed my full voidbent..got all watermaks except Warhammers to 600..I liked the game but then after 2 months alpha testing I gave up..devs need an extra 2 years to fix this mess..

  9. I completely agree with a ranked system or arena mode for pvp. At this point I log in – do some opr- and log out again. Titles/gear would be a nice reward for pvp as well like other mmos do. For pve the dungeons feel 100x better than the braindead elite zone chest Grind. Even worse with zergs. The atmosphere is way better if you gotta get through a dungeon as a small grp where everybody has to fill a certain role. I had a lot of fun in dungeons although they are too easy imo. They should add multiple difficulties for dungeons and remove the orbs required to start them and make people get loot that way.

  10. the problem is that people wont return even if they add new content and do the fixes. Maybe 50k will return to check it out and then leave again after 2-3 weeks. What the game needs right now is a big server merge(not talking about 2 servers to 1, talking about leave 10 servers onlly, maybe with channels like bdo) and bug fixes.

  11. As much as i enjoy the game, it is getting boring. Especially because they are taking so freaking long to do server merges. I feel like theyre also constantly working on bugs they create which leaves hardly any time to implement what we need which is new content. I hope it does improve, and i also hope something is done about watermark. Because i like pve and tbh i have no drive at all to increase my watermark

  12. PvE: There is actually an entertaining PvE content people mostly not doing. The existing endgame dungeons have already some good mechanics which also gives you a 100% WM increase each time you do them.
Also, WoW is a bad example in my opinion as you run the same M+ dungeon over and over again just for a minor upgrade of your gear IF you're lucky. BiS are locked behind weekly timegates and daily questing is a even more unsatisfying grind in my books than doing 2 hours of chest runs every day. Atleast you have a choice which zone or chest to go for. Or which elites you want to kill in a small group. And you can see an end coming closer and closer. On top of that, you can catch up at anytime you want, if you are just dedicated enough to invest more time into increasing your WM.

If they would introduce a "Watermark increase" message everytime you hit a new high, that would probably let players feel the progress they're probably lacking in the 530-585 WM range.
No doubt, tho. Raids would be sick! But they have to make content like invasions first smooth and steady.

Story: There is actually a big amount of lore. And most people don't want to deal with that in MMO's anymore unless they get to see short cinematics that explains them everything they need to know. That's probably the reason why they kept it by implementing lore only by journals. And I like it that way. Maybe a lore video of someone explaining all the stuff found in journals would be a great idea, tho. (Same as there are lore channels for other games)

PvP: Not much to say on that part. Arenas are on their way and will be introduced in a matter of time. I do not know how I should feel about ranked systems, tho. It is, for sure, something people want to see. But if there are unfair advantages, bugs, etc. still to be figured out, ranked modes would let people hate their game even more as you have to win to achieve something. This is especially obvious, if you would have expierenced wars. Wars are insanely inconsistent on server performance till this day and people quitted because of that. Giving them even more reason to hate the disadvantages they're expieriencing would be an insane idea on current state.

Overall they should have just shipped the game in beta state as people would've been probably more forgiving. They first have definetly to work on server performances before they ship more ressource heavy content. But in the end it's a great game, as you said. And Amazon spent so much ressources and time already that there will be guaranteed improvement over time. We will see where the way will lead us. But when they will introduce new zones or content, there will for sure always be a majority of players coming back. As it always has been in MMOs. The time will tell.

    Peace.

  13. You can tell not that much work was put into this game from the first 2 weeks since release or even beta. Just look at the towns, alot of them are copy and paste with a few house changes.

  14. With the amount of experience and great ideas from the community they could actually cherry pick from them ones that follow their vision and have some great stuff. I just hope the cash shop next year doesnt destroy the game entirely.

  15. I said it after the alpha but new world has a strong foundation. Just like Albion online which is super similar to it, it needs some tweaks which were all covered here. For sure my friends and i were always talking about how they should add instanced dungeons like raids from WoW because atm, grinding watermark is nothing but a chore and thinking about it most of the time makes me not even want to log in because i know I'm gonna do the same thing. Meet at west myrk entrance, run with a group and hope they don't just run by everything and leave some poor souls behind to hope they can get a chest before they get smacked by the mobs. Rinse and repeat. I'd grind raids all day over watermark anytime. As for the pvp rewards and stuff they absolutely need to add that 100% because there's no real reason other than to maybe restock on azoth and some gold or maybe get one of the legendary drops from the chests. I definitely think they should take some ideas from black desert online, WoW and even albion online. I'd be nice if maybe they did what albion online did and have zones with higher quality mats that you had to go to to get but you were always flagged for pvp. High risk high reward. The pve content is definitely lacking and even as a pvp oriented game it's really not pulling through on that either. Albion online definitely outshines it in both aspects, but yeah i hope that it doesn't bleed out because i'm still having a lot of fun with the game
