I’m going to post this up front before watching so I apologize if you cover anything that contradicts this but I think that this Edward is actually the Ultimus Richthofen who has transferred his soul into Edie to save himself from the end of the universe before he was killed (nobody would know and if you look at him in tags final cutscene he looks like he could be a hollow shell) and so he either completely controls Eddie or is a passenger in that body giving him tips. This would explain why he was so easily corrupted in this universe and why he seemingly has so much knowledge of Aether technology despite having only been a child when he interacted with those items, how he knows so much about the chaos timeline (Ultimus Richthofen was in the Aether and had ultimate power so he would possibly have knowledge of things beyond what is cannon in his canon). As for his wife and child I tend to lean towards either Eddie loves them so Ultimus Edward allows it and maybe even suggested naming Samual after his best friend stu who was sacrificed for the greater good or the family was just for experimentation and the son was an extra body for himself in case something happened.

    We know he is trying to regrow cells from a small sample which seems like something he would do because he loves his family and is a war criminal (like kingpin in spider verse) but I just think he craves power in any form and I just don’t buy his motivation as loving father who was wronged when we know he was already committing horrible acts against god and humanity which lead to the death of his family in the first place!

    I mean come on nobody seems to question him as a father who loves his family while also being the kind of man who believe in a don’t ask don’t tell don’t let the torture accidentally create a giant monster who kills all of us but other than that do as much horrible stuff as you want and I’m sitting here watching everyone say poor man he must be so broken up about it. He tried to kill the last kid a version of him took care of why is he suddenly father of the year?????

  6. Love this video. Crazy theory. What if Eddies adopted families last name is stuhlinger and Eddie is his father. He uses Richtofen as his business name. Probably not but fun to think about.

  9. It's sad. That after every possibilities, jumping multiple dimensions, erasing multiple versions of himself, his most normal, conventional version of himself, Eddie, is again, all alone. It's like a curse. And burns the world with him.

  10. What I wanna know is why only Eddie and Sam were allowed to cross over when they had the souls of Dempsey and takeo as well. Like couldn’t they have gotten all the souls and just sent the innocent pure versions of themselves into the new universe before offing themselves?
