This is like watching ghost hunters in action. They imagine things that tend to reinforce their own beliefs and scare themselves. In "Curse…" they find things and make up scenarios to support their own beliefs. They are also aided by a number of people who tell them what they want to hear. But there is that chance (about the same as winning the big lottery) that they might find a treasure. Personally I believe that if there was a treasure it was recovered (dug up) by the people that hid or buried the treasure many years ago and before they died. Who would hide a treasure and not come back for it before they die?.
What if they ran that drill shaft straight through the ark of the covenant? Or the holy Grail.? ????

I don't think this is episode 6 of season 9, because they find the Mi'kmaq pottery shards in season 9 episode 7 when they're told to stop, and the archaeologists haven't been sent away yet. I know bevause I bought episode 7 for $2 only to find out
